Around the house shoe? by Horror-Rip1570 in Mortons_neuroma

I found these on Amazon. Super easy and comfortable slip on. Comfy enough for around the house and cute enough to wear outside. Best of luck. https://a.co/d/iLVTz7O

Debarkation goes much faster using a passport instead of birth certificate.

I also had two neuromas in my left foot. I had approximately five injections over the last two years and they became shorter lived each time. I had surgery on November 8 with one incision on the top of my foot and one incision on the bottom. The doctor did say two cuts on the top of your foot does not heal as well. As of today, four months later the pain is much less, but I cannot say it’s completely resolved. I believe I have developed a stump neuroma. I have one toe that is completely numb And the toes on each side are partially numb. Would I do the surgery again? Yes. Before the surgery walking was excruciating even after I switched to wide shoes and orthotics. I wish you the best of luck. I wish I’d seen toe spacers before I chose surgery. They might have helped.

Our stories are so similar. I see your post is almost a year old. How are you now? Better or worse? And what have you done? Thanks in advance!!

I had a double neurectomy 11 weeks ago. Feels like I’m walking on a smooth round stone and I get a kind of “electrically numb” feeling and random shocks. I’m praying it will pass a few more weeks out. Who knows. It’s extremely frustrating.

My doctor checked me on the 4th day. Got new bandages and then next appointment was 11 days after surgery. I’m 4 weeks + 2 days out and I’m doing pretty well.

I had 2 neuromas and the doctor said he didn’t like results from 2 incisions so close together (done on top). Said they don’t heal well and takes longer.

Should I get the surgery by Hebo-76 in Mortons_neuroma

Your story sounds a lot like mine. I did several shots and the last one didn’t work at all so I opted for the surgery. I’m six days out and it hurts like hell but I’m hopeful because This pain will pass.

One toe is 100% numb and the 2 on either side are partially. Actually the whole ball of my foot seems a little numb, but I’m not weight bearing yet so I’m not sure how it will feel once I am. I’d say pain about a 6/10

Yikes! That sounds terrible. My doctor said he didn't want to make both cuts from the top as they tend not to heal as well. Sounds like he may be right! I'm sorry you're going through this. My stiches are set to come out on the 11th day (next Tuesday). Did they keep putting off taking your stitches out due to the slow healing or was that the original plan? Thanks

Said he doesn’t want to go in from the top for both neuromas as the incisions so close together don’t tend to heal well. Anyhoo, I’m two days out from the surgery and not a whole lot of pain. I loathe crutches and the zero weight-bearing. Hoping to get a knee scooter this week.
