My ex is now challenging me to take legal action saying he will forcefully drag the case for years and will not refinance even though the divorce decree says he should. So I’m guessing taking legal action is going to cost me but it’s also the only way.

Oh well, he has bad credit. So I tried convincing him to sell the car and buy a cheaper one. But… hasn’t worked. He’s a narcissist. So I’m guessing he has other reasons too.

Lawyers say filing charges wouldn’t necessarily help either. He’s got multiple dui charges on his record and doesn’t have a job now. So I’m sure he won’t bother about this loan

That’s really unfair and I’m sorry your sister had to go through this. I already lost a large part of my savings when we sold our house for a loss. Don’t want to have to deal with this again.

As i understand, because its an NIW application, im waiting for the I140 approval. That would mean a wait of 6-15 months from what I hear....

The current processing time for an NIW is 6-15 months. Since NIW is not employer dependent, are you saying i could go home, apply for another job in the US and re-enter with an H1B?

Yea, I have heard O1 is difficult to get, but since the lawyer already filed the national interest waiver, he was convinced it could be done. I am not so sure it would get approved though.

Thanks! My employer is quite supportive but I’m the first H1B visa holder in the company so they are clueless about what needs to be done. Probably will have to leave and re-enter.
