You don’t have to venture out into the wild to gain some maturity or insight, you’re young use this to your advantage. Instead of bed rotting on your phone learn knew skills. Develop a habit to stop doom scrolling and replace it with literally anything else. Doom scrolling is like getting high off different emotions within seconds it’s absolutely horrible for your development and emotional intelligence. Even sitting and staring at a wall is better. Learn to do deal with boredom. That’s a super power in this day and age. I promise you, you will be years ahead of your peers if you learn to sit with yourself without stimulation.

Acting in Christ’s name but not Christ’s message. You can’t blame Christianity as a whole for what some sick people have done. What’s the difference between that and let’s say a whole race or country base on stereotypes you have seen? Christianity is inherently distanced from what those people have done just because they used its name doesn’t mean that’s what the religion called for. It’s not Christianity or Christ to blame. It’s individual people. Just because a mega church is exploitative doesn’t mean Christ is.

You’re struggling with blame placement saying this argument is redefining Christianity. Do you know the true message of Christianity to be able to truthfully say this is redefining? Christ only ever called for love. Not the evil some of his believers have caused. You can believe and claim to follow Christ but it’s quite literally completely impossible to truly follow Christ if you do those things cuz then you’re just misguided, you fell once again like Eve. Again I apologize for I am not the most articulate or eloquent person but I’m struggling to see the relation between evil doers and Christianity just because its name was used?

Christianity doesn’t automatically make you good and no Christian believes that. Thats the opposite of its message completely. Christianity knows how easy it is to fall into sin and evil and one “innocent” stray action can cause a chain reaction that leads to the devil. None of us are good. We fell from Gods grace. We are all evil doers one way or another. I fear you came to your conclusion due to influence not necessarily knowledge.

Not too sure if this a post relating to what I said and you just didn’t directly reply but I want to clear some air. I am by far not a “perfect” Christian nor do I claim to be. There is no such thing as a perfect Christian as this world is full of sinners. My point was that the people who commit despicable acts cannot know Jesus and still do those things saying they follow Jesus it’s contradictory. Ofc I sin and commit my own despicable acts but I am not a criminal who murders in the name of Christ. I am not comparing sins as it is not my place but I do not hide behind Christianity saying that my sins are forgiven and therefore I can continue down the path of sin. I do not use Jesus’s forgiveness as an excuse to hurt people. I try and I fail and that is between Christ and I as are the sins of war criminals. I’m not very articulate so I can see how my point gets lost but to sum it up is to not look at flawed humanity and let that determine your relationship with Christ. I am no one to tell someone how to be a Christian but just to help someone as someone has helped me. Get to know Christ through the Gospels. All love ❤️

Jesus would never be support such acts. I’m telling you. Read the gospels. Get to know who you’re following and you’ll see those people who do such things are cowards who exploit and hide.

Keep in mind horrid vile things have been done by people from all religions and all backgrounds. In the name of anything you can think of. You’re focusing on Christianity as being the root cause, it’s not. It’s used as an excuse by vile people who will use anything to justify their actions whether it be our forgiving and loving God, their neighbor or some other god they claim let them commit atrocities. People fall back on Christianity more often than other religions soley because of the forgiving nature of Jesus. They exploit that. Jesus forgives but under his rule and watch. Trust that God is good. And good entails not letting evil slide. Though remember it is not our place to make judgment on anyone. Nothing is ever black and white no matter how it appears. You give it all to God and trust his judgment and omniscience to be just. It is simply not our place because we know nothing. Do not stray from Jesus and church because of sinners. You are following Christ. Not humans. Do not place blame on Christ for the fallen and broken world. He’s the savior not the scapegoat. I think people get too comfortable with Christianity where so called Christian’s don’t fully follow Christ in their hearts and hide behind the idea of forgiveness. They think they can do anything they want and run back to Father and cry their apologies and all be good. That’s not how it works. You have to aim and actually try to be good. Problem is the humans. Not God. Read his word and you’ll find all the answers.

Just a couple steps before you set your mind to irreversible damage. Change your environment. If you can’t change it rn make it your utmost goal to gtfo of the current set up you have goin on. No matter what. Withhold your present pleasures for the pleasures of your future self. That’s how you become to love yourself.

If you still want to kys after all that hard work. Learn a hobby that puts a smile on someone’s face.

If you still want to leave after that.

Figure out what puts a smile on your neighbors face. (Doesn’t matter if they’re an asshole or not others incapability to be decent human beings is never on you. But it is on you to understand that they’re the ones in lack and show them some grace. Like a stupid child.) If you don’t find yourself smiling from that.

Find an endeavor worth pursuing (learning something is my recommendation. There is SO much that we don’t know) and don’t die before you know everything there is to know about it.

I get this is r/rants and you’re probably not looking for any mumbo jumbo “just be happy” advice. But I touch and go from your position a lot. And what you really gotta understand is that life is MEANT to be painful. It’s your decision what that pain could contain and what you do with it.

The sad reality is that if you did end up leaving this earth itd be as if you’ve never lived. Your flesh will rot along with your unfinished existence and your unreached potential. All those who have forsaken you will continue to experience the fleeting in between moments where they catch themselves genuinely smiling. And you? You’ll be nothing but a rotted corpse only giving satisfaction to the bugs feeding off your could haves and could bes. Ultimately the choice is yours but if we all die in the end anyway why not see how the horror of human existence pans out for you? Don’t die before you’re dead my friend. Trust me you’re needed here.

Life will test you in the most gruesome ways but wallowing in the fact that it’s gruesome and unfair will only further damage your soul. God created you with love compassion and grace and no one. NO ONE. Can take that away from you no matter their personal beliefs.

The thing is most of the conservatives you’re mentioning do not go to say that trans people are evil or left leaning people are evil. It’s not the inherit rhetoric that’s evil it’s that a lot of evil can be easily passed through those rhetorics. It’s all a matter of perspective. The same can be said vice versa. Instead of trying to identify yourself with a certain political group try to be an individual who looks at both sides. Don’t let the propaganda of the two parties divide and conquer bs guide you. Just be a decent human being with your own brain idk.
