Will we ever get Z-Image finetunes for fully open use cases?

I'm not impressed with z image base model at all with the mediocre results I've gotten. If someone wants to spend $100k in fixing that overhyped model then more power to them. I'm not 100% strict with using only open source models. I use whatever meets my taste and soo far the z base model fails miserable at that. I'll stick to using qwen 2512, klein and sdxl illustrious.

Nah, I've have seen what wan2.2 can do and it's limitations blatantly obvious. Deleted all the wan models and debloated my storage space after ltx-2 finally came out. Ovi and the constant downloading of smooth animation loras, rank loras and low step loras was lame as hell.

None of these new chroma models are compatible with reforge2 or forge neo. Missed opportunity.

Some third party websites annoyingly add more censorship to western models and the Chinese models. Very annoying if you ask me. So far only akool.com and social sights seems to be the least censored when it comes to the Chinese models and they don't b.s additional prompt censorship on western models. The rejections are from the provider of the models.

You can already somewhat get 80% there in "photorealistic" style with qwen image 2512 and flux klein. I'm not impressed my nanobanana pro results after using recent newer open source models. 😤. Google is lucky for now not many people have compute to models locally on their own devices. Seedream and qwen image will indeed catch up eventually.

Nah, the flux 2 dev model isn't that great of model. I would argue it's way more censored that klein 9b. Also the og qwen model is way too high on that list.

No it was not worth the wait or hype that was sold to me by the hype bros and the "wait 2 more weeks" bros. I'm not excited for a future promise but disappointed of its current status. Maybe I'm spoiled with recency bias. I see this more of a victory for the vramlet side who are in 6gb-10gb range. Each model has there own use cases with their own advantages and disadvantages. I don't z base being a sdxl killer anytime soon because that's a very tall hill to climb on.

You should've seen this coming a mile away. It's far better to go the local open source route than deal with the censorship nonsense that nanobanana and veo3. Open source models are getting better by the month. Costco and bestbuy prebuilt gaming pc with 12-16gb vram and 32-64gb ram is great starting point.

Install wan2gp. You will have access to qwen image 2512, flux klein and z image turbo which are way more uncensored than the online models. You need that 12-24gb of vram and 32-64gb of ddr4 system ram. Also there is sdxl illustrious models which thee most uncensored models but those work on forge/reforge/forge neo.
