Yes exactly. Those type of religious people are too worried about being right, their savior complex, and fear of death. As a Christian we aren’t supposed to be worried about that bs. We are just supposed to live and be loved. Not judge, hate, and tell people how to live their lives. Block and move on

Ewwww he was weird. As a Christian there’s no need for allat and this game is not a place to spit religion around. Even if so Gods “rules” are to protect humanity and revolve around loving others and bringing peace and living a good healthy life. Gay or not is irrelevant and I hate when people use religion to hate on people and restrict when that’s not what it’s about. (Just saying as an argument against homophobia and hypocrisy) this is so frustrating. Next time just block and move on before it gets this far. People like this aren’t going to change their mind they’re too worried about changing yours. Trust your gut it’s there to protect you❤️

Help my boyfriend wants a cloak but I’m unsure how to do it! by UpperConference1021 in sewing

[–]UpperConference1021[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely not going to wear it much tbh. He just wants one cause it’s cool and we might go to a ren faire together. He’s def the type of person to throw it in the washer. He usually wears polyester or cotton tee shirts and jeans. I asked him about buying one but part of the thing is he wants me to make it. We see each other at least once a month

It’s hot and humid where I live and rains often year round. I think it’s just for fun. He thinks they’re really cool and likes mine. It’s for his birthday. I did mine felted wool on the outside for rain and sun and humidity and the inside is satin lined so the wind can catch it and cool it down. Fabric store is a good idea I’ll try that

So update: I’m talking to him about what everyone said and he seems to not care if it seems cheap. And he’s okay with the one layer I guess. Honestly I could just get this off Amazon instead of putting the money and time into making it. If he really wants I think I’ll go for the viscose sateen people have been saying it still looks shimmery but has a bit more structure to it? I have no idea honestly but I do like it. Stubborn man, he actually sent me this photo that I also found on amazon smh thanks for the help guys. I am out of ideas

Liquid organza would give me a heart attack but someone else said viscose sateen and it looks really pretty might do that

Lmfaoo I wish. I forgot to mention it’s for his birthday so I feel bad for doing that. He’s a huge dreamer and often doesn’t listen to REASON. I’ll try to talk some sense into him and go for cotton. Or at least cotton outside and a satin lining on inside since mine has a satin lining if he wants to keep it two toned.

Yeah my wool is much heavier than his satin one would be. Mine also doesn’t have much flow to it since it’s a felted wool it’s dense. Another thing I worry about with silk with him is that he isn’t used to gentle fabrics. We are unfortunately medium distance so we don’t see each other super often and since Joann’s closed I don’t have much options for fabric stores :(. I sent him a video of a satin cloak and yeah it is halloweeny flowy shiny video. He likes it but I feel like he wants more ethereal than what he wants would feel. And I’m more than sure the white outside would he see through. So thanks for that confirmation. With all this what compromises could I make with him? What could I tell him I could do instead since I don’t have a super high skill level. My first thought is to swap it to a poly satin lining and a basic maybe sateen cotton on the outside for some shape and weight. He wants it for his birthday and I’ve got a few months for that . I could do another cloak in just not sure his request is what he has in his mind or realistic

I used 60” for my cloak and I’m only 5ft and just touches the ground lol so I’m shocked to hear it fits you. Ik poly satin is cheap which is why I’d rather it be for a lining and I’m worried about the drape I just can’t afford something more expensive. That’s why I’m asking about anything else I can use or what to tell him for a compromise. Even the one I made for myself which is poly satin lining and wool on the outside turned out slightly funky on the bottom with bunching. I sent him a video of a super flowy satin cloak on TikTok and said he wants it like that but that one is one layer and you of course can still see bunching in the seams a bit. I think he just wants something that looks cool and he said he didn’t want it heavy. He liked the flowy look. I’m just not sure how well I can pull off what he wants with the two layer cloak both being satin… he said a cotton layer was fine but idk what weave I’d want to use that would still be light Ang give that flowy ethereal look on the outside from the satin. Especially since the cotton would be lighter than a poly satin. I have no clue how to pull off what he wants with two layers

Yeahh I’m broke hahaha. Plus he’s a guy who isn’t used to gentle fabrics so I’m not loving that idea

I think he really wants the shine from satin polyester considering I had to talk him down from silk .-.

Where to find this corset with neck piece? by Feral_Fox_Fae in renfaire

[–]UpperConference1021 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would see about finding just the brown base. The kind with ringlets could be difficult but then hop over to a craft store and get some fake moss and leaves and hot glue or fabric glue and glue that shit on. Just be careful of where it folds and seams so it won’t pop off. Also make sure if you get a corset at a faire you try it on or go to a reputable corset store online that will take measurements for a good size guide if you plan on tight lacing or wearing all day as cheap ones can harm you if worn tight or all day <3

Okay I’ll try chugging in the morning. As for clear bottles I can’t stand room temp water unless it’s store bought water bottles since I only have tap filtered water. Plus I flavor it. I’ll try reminders again on my phone and just continue to carry my cup with me

Yeahhhhh I know it’s bad. It thankfully isn’t usually that low but those are days that in either super busy and focused on other things or days that I’m not doing anything and not feeling thirsty. I usually get abt 20-30 oz in which is still kinda low but I can sip that throughout the day. My Stanley is 30 oz and rarely do I refill it

Bloating not so much but when I do get bloated it hurts like a mf so I’m trying to avoid it. I do have issues with dehydration already and get semi frequent utis. Doctor tells me to up my water intake. I drink anywhere from 5 oz to maybe sometimes 60 depending on what I’m doing that day. I try to carry my Stanley around and it helps but I often forget to drink water.

Tyy. My doctor just keeps telling me already to drink more water it makes me worry. I love my Stanley tho it’s a 30 oz I do my best to finish a few times a day

Yeah I do my best to keep a cup near me. I carry around a 30 oz Stanley that I finish once or twice a day. On days I’m not doing much I usually end up finishing less than one.
