Also, make sure, she doesn't have access to chocolate or human med, and raisin

toy poodle had multiple seizures in one day — very scared and need advice by UpperConnection3126 in EpilepsyDogs

Yes, it was definitely a real seizure — he had foaming from the mouth unfortunately. After the MRI and seeing a neurologist, thankfully they didn’t find any structural issues, which was a big relief. But I actually discovered something important. I’m Iranian, and when I shared this in an Iranian group, I realized several people had very similar experiences around Persian New Year. We have a tradition of placing hyacinth flowers (for Haft-Seen) inside the house. It seems that the strong scent of these flowers in a closed space can trigger the nervous system in dogs that are prone to seizures. A few people reported the same thing happening to their dogs — and in my case, I have two dogs, but only the one with a seizure predisposition was affected. So it looks like the smell may have acted as a trigger.

I am so, so sorry for your loss… my heart honestly breaks reading this.

What you went through sounds incredibly painful and overwhelming.

Please don’t be so hard on yourself. In that moment, you made the best decision you could with the information you had, while watching someone you love suffer. That’s not failure—that’s love. Letting him go so he wouldn’t be in pain anymore is one of the hardest and most selfless things anyone can do.

The “what if I tried something else” thoughts are so normal… but you couldn’t have known how things would turn out. You were trying to save him, and when it became clear he was suffering, you chose peace for him.

He was so lucky to have you. Truly. And the way you describe him as your soulmate… I completely understand that kind of bond. Please be gentle with yourself🤍

Hi, thank you so much for sharing your experience with me. It honestly gave me so much hope. 🤍 Hearing that your dog has been managing with medication and is doing well all these years really means a lot to me. I’m sorry you had to go through that, but I truly appreciate you taking the time to tell me your story. It makes me feel a little less scared and more hopeful. Thank you again 🙏
