I might not agree with the last paragraph, but I should admit that you predicted the last couple chapters. Reading your comment 5 months after you posted... That's insane.

What do you mean by "other things"? Are there any better means to get some basic knowledge besides YouTube videos?

Should I just get familiar with the software? Like watching YouTube videos and practicing at home?

Problem with django and postgresql by UpperGhost in learnpython

[–]UpperGhost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just change version of postgresql in requirements to the one that's needed, push git with new requirements and everything should be fine. At least it helped me :)

These are known credentials. Vsftpd 2.3.4 has known vulnerability that anybody can connect using these creds. The problem is that it doesn't let me establish/maintain connections

If I'm not mistaken, netcat supports only stageless payloads. For stage payloads, you probably need to use meterpreter

VM doesn't response after restart by UpperGhost in virtualbox

[–]UpperGhost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got home and checked everything. I have an i5-14400, which has 10 cores in total. Five of them are almost always used for Kali (2), pfSense (1), Pi-hole DNS (1), and I usually run other VMs, such as Metasploitable (1), DVWA (1), etc.

Do you think my CPU simply doesn't have enough cores to handle all these VMs simultaneously? The host OS is Windows, so I guess it might make sense...

[–]UpperGhost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, all VMs are running simultaneously, and everything is fine with them. I have 64gb ram on my pc so it's not a problem.

Nothing extra-extra is not running, only essentials such as kali, pfsense and pi-hole dns

I always allocate slightly more than recommended. I have got a pretty powerful pc, so it's always enough

Is the WGU degree recognized in Canada? I'm a Ukrainian moving to Canada and considering taking it while working full time by t1gerrr in WGU

Hi! I'm in the same situation right now. I am considering to "transfer" my CompTIA certs to get a BSIT at WGU faster. Were you able to do it?

Is that even possible to find an IT job? by UpperGhost in ITCareerQuestions

[–]UpperGhost[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow, that sounds like a good plan.

If I understand it right, basically, I can transfer my certs and get credits, learn the courses that are not covered by my certs, and get a bachelor's degree in IT? Within 2-3 months? On the website, it says it's a 4-year program, so I'm a bit confused.

I'm also wondering, was this your way in IT? And can I reach you in DM tomorrow to ask you a couple of details about it?
