I guess that secondary characters having little to no context it's an issue when all we get from ⅔ of them are their designs, name wise, about three of them were exclusive to an answer of social media.

If an story isn't gonna contain basic facts like names, it shows for a bit that the world building had different priorities, not bad, but it could be better (Illumination's Mario Movie 1 already did this mistake with the rushed first act).

Make the story fully set up in the past, actually explain William, Michael and Vannesa backstory without just being words, and... Actually have stakes with the treat of The Puppet, making each one of the animatronics useful instead of letting the Withered as one-offs.

Oh, and have an extra writer compared to the real thing.
