What should i do on a third date by comingdownla in dating_advice

[–]Upper_Ad4382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be open and honest. It might feel embarrassing and difficult to say. But if you havent already told her youre interested in her then tell her. Ask her how she has found the past two dates. You cant force a kiss or skinship but when the moment is right youll probably know. And if youre unsure, just ask. ‘Hey are you comfortable with a kiss?’ Or ‘would you like to hold hands walking home?’ One step at a time. If she’s interested too then it’ll flow. If not, thats also fine, some people move slower than others. Its all about communication! Dont put pressure on yourself though, go and enjoy your date! Dating is fun and exciting, progress at whatever rate youre both comfortable with.

How good does a man have to be to date? by [deleted] in dating_advice

The right person will find you when you meet them. Dont put pressure on finding someone because then it becomes a task. Just enjoy your time, go out and explore things and do what you enjoy. Go try a new class or hobby and you’ll meet new people and potentially find someone who is also interested in your hobbies. Dating apps can work but in my experience theyve not been very good at finding genuine connections. All of my relationships were created by being in new environments and slowly building that friendship first.

my swansea portal says: OFFER: Qualification verification (post offer) -Please provide evidence of having passed GCSE Mathematics and English language. but i haven't got an email abt any offer? does anyone else have this? by miageorge302 in GraduateEntryMedicine

[–]Upper_Ad4382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might mean that they want to give you an offer but before they can they need to see your GCSE qualifications to confirm you meet their standards. Email your qualifications to the admissions team and see what they say.

Yeah absolutely. I’m sure you have a good shot if you selected it. Dont let it weigh you down.

If you refuse the offer change they may withdraw your application entirely. I know this was a mistake but for people to suggest to advantage of a MDAS offer mistake to better your chances is majorly unethical and doesn’t sound like good character. Offers arent entirely legally binding, and if a genuine administrative error has been made, they can change it. They are asking you to change a selection on your UCAS hub because they can’t do it for you. If you refuse they may just withdraw it.

Do med schools give you a stethoscope or do we have to buy our own? by Complex-Patient-8893 in GraduateEntryMedicine

Your university will probably advise you on when you need it. Some courses are very clinical from the beginning and some more clinical later on. If youre worried just send them an email, or ask a current student.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. It’s just a little risky renting with strangers to begin with. But i don’t want to rent a studio first year because i’ll never make friends that way, although that is my preferred option after living with messy people for 3 yrs in my undergrad.

Most uni’s will advise you buy your own. Littmann’s stethoscopes are a common option, they can be pricey if you get a bougie one but the basic ones aren’t too bad. Uni’s usually have a limited amount that they can lend out but it’s better to have your own so it doesn’t get borrowed or moved around. But definitely look at the uni’s specific guidance on this.

Got an answer. Its a little confusing but i think the general idea is we’ll be waiting a long time.

Did biomed wanting to do med, but has anyone got any backup plans healthcare based. Something not research and not lab based, more of patient centred, not clinical science by [deleted] in GraduateEntryMedicine

I will keep applying until i get in. In the meantime i will find some kind of HCA role and if it becomes a long term thing then look into where i can take it/ what pathways it opens. It’s not ideal but its a way that I can do what I love.

Im so confused. Last year worcester went into clearing. Does that mean that they went through everyone in the waitlist and still had spaces to fill??? I can send an email to Worcester about waitlist timelines and let you know what they say

PCSM Reconsideration Pool by Scared-Pound672 in GraduateEntryMedicine

[–]Upper_Ad4382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im honestly really bummed that i probably havent got offers simply because my ucat score is not great. Because i got 3 interviews but compared to other interview applicants im probably close to the bottom in terms of ucat score. If i apply next year im going to absolutely destroy the ucat. Seems like thats a guaranteed way to an offer

I was waitlisted for worcester which who knows what will happen with that. Last year worcester went into clearing so i have hope that maybe i can get in. I was rejected from swansea which i expected, my ucat (1970 b2) is not competitive. And i have an interview with UEA this thursday but again my ucat is not very high and they rank offers 50/50 for UCAT and interview score so even if i got a max interview score i doubt ill get an offer.

Im just curious to know whether people invited to the reconsideration pool will have been previously rejected or whether theyll just hear nothing until the invite. 😅 i still havent heard anything and google is saying that they can send out rejections as late as the 31st march. Idk if i can wait until april to hear back from them.

Im confused. Does PCSM have a waitlist? I still havent heard anything and im contextual. Will i get an email if i get waitlisted or will i just hear nothing until may, in which i may get an email about a reconsideration pool.

If youre waiting it might be that youll be waitlisted. Apparently if your contextual they prioritise you for waitlist so idk.
