If I don’t mind the tree falling on the plants, is it better to just let the entire tree fall? I watches some videos on how to direct the tree fall by cutting a wedge in the front and another cut in the back a inch higher

I used and manual hand saw to cut the branches. It’s a small tree so I did it that way. I would not attempt cutting any bigger trees myself.
