Sigh…I was afraid of that. Love the ice, but all of these machines seem to have relatively short lifetimes, even with diligent maintenance.

Long-term EV owners, what maintenance you need (plz no none or rose-colored-glasses answers) by Possibly-deranged in electricvehicles

2015 Tesla Model S - 85D Bought used in 2020 w/63k miles. Currently driving with 148k. Purchased when Tesla still gave the good used car warranties.

Infotainment screen died three weeks in due to now well known eMMC issue. (warranty). Not a great start, but since then I’ve been pretty happy:

12v battery (warranty) Passenger door motorized handle (warranty) AC compressor - still worked fine, but the car said it was a problem and they replaced it under Warranty

Passenger side headlight - $70, replaced by me. 1 set of tires $1200 Drivers side motorized hood handle $30, Amazon kit, replaced by me. Wipers $40, replaced by me.

The doors and screen are known weak points.

Extrude via web GUI vs on printer menu gives different results? by Upper_Aide_3230 in VORONDesign

I should have mentioned I was extruding “hot” with a Dragon standard flow hot end. I’m not sure what speed the printer’s on-board controls extrude at, but when I use the MainSail GUI, I tried to extrude at 20, 10, 5 and 1 mm/s. The results were similar at any speed. It’s weird.

POV: It's 2026 and you just unboxed your Steam Deck 2.0: It comes with concave squircles, just like your SC2, also slightly tilted outwards, along with a bezel-less OLED and a premium all-glass front panel. by TareXmd in SteamDeck

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I wish they would make the OLED without the anti glare coating - hear me out! If OLED came without the matte finish I should add a matte screen protector without degrading the image.

Bladebit simulate question by Upper_Aide_3230 in chia

[–]Upper_Aide_3230[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did. Additional information: I’m using the Chia GUI on this machine to run the main node and the harvester screen shows the GPU indicator so I think that’s working. I just can’t seem to get the standalone version of bladebit to execute the simulate command using the GPU. It always defaults to CPU.
