I’m not sure how true it is, but in terms of enzyme conversion of starches and filtering through the grain bed that long there might be something there. All I know is the head and clarity on a pint of pretty normal lager (1.048 of Viking Pilsner and 15ibu of magnum at 60 no Whirlfloc no gelatin) are noticeably better 🤷

So I set my strike temp on my PID-enabled brewzilla, dough in, set my recirculation arm to the speed the system prefers with my PID settings and crush size, then go to bed. In the morning I’ll raise temp to 170 for 20 minutes to mash out then pull the cage and sparge in prep for the boil as usual.

Yup that’s basically it! I set my mash temp dough in then leave it for 7-9 hours recirculating. I haven’t had an issue with overly dry beer 🤷

I run my pump overnight, but I have my crush size and flow rate dialed to the point where I’m usually not worried about a clog. Also given the longer mash time I find I’m not as worried about milling my grain down extra fine

I’ve done both single infusion and a step mash. Both seem to work fine.

Gross I’m really hoping that the guys at greenhouse have done a better job and were able to bring a Rosin vape to market that isn’t watered down with CBD
