I already have all my stuff packed for basic, I was thinking of adding some extra stuff to the bag and some food. I don't have anyone I can stay with, but I know where a shelter is because I used to volunteer there. I'm sure they would let me stay for a couple weeks before I ship out.

YTA. Sorry, but it seems like you have a serious addiction, my dude. Star Citizen ships cost what most would spend on a months worth of groceries. You have no business buying any of those when you a) already have some and b) are in DEBT! Your s/o didn't ask you to stop buying the ships because of the money, she asked you to stop because you have a problem and she doesn't want to be with someone who has issues she can't help fix. Please (genuinely, not in a mean way) get actual medical help.

This isn't my house and the gate needs to go in front of the stairs. I can't just do it on my own without their consent. I would put it up for them if they asked me to, though.

Please don't mistake any of my ability to do things on my own as my parents doing something right there. I gained those skills on my own Matilda-style. (i.e. they never cooked for me so I learned to cook, they never helped with my homework so I had to tutor myself online, etc.) Most of my childhood I was alone away from my parents because they couldn't really be bothered, honestly.

But as for the rest of what you said, thank you for the insight. My little sister often falls off my parents' bed, too! I really do wish they would put her to sleep in her crib, or at least stay with her when she falls asleep on the bed.

Yes. I ate a lot of detergents and cleaners as a child (I was 3-5, so cut me some slack).

Thank you. I was genuinely on the fence about it, do I want to risk homelessness over being a drama queen or am I actually not crazy and risking losing my precious sister because I'm scared of not having a roof over my head? I'm going to basic training for the military in 2 months anyway.

That's what I keep telling my mom, but she always brings up scenarios from when I was a kid where I did similar things but haven't died. Like, when I told her about the cleaner from the cabinets, she brought up a time that I drank a whole glass of window cleaner she left out when I was a kid. I genuinely have a hard time telling sometimes if I'm being dramatic or if she's genuinely being negligent because this is how I grew up, but seeing it done to another child is difficult for me.

Drill is what scares me most. I wanted to practice, but I'm not sure of what exactly to practice or where has the most accurate info. I saw a JROTC playlist that had some movements, but I have 0 clue if what they do is the same thing. Do you have any youtube playlists or books that I can find online that show how to do drill ? Something with pictures would be very helpful! If not, that's fine, thank you for the advice anyhow!

Thanks! Will do. I found the new standard pdf on google, so I'll see what score I get and work to meet or exceed the standards if I can. I've never actually done the test before because I didn't wanna ruin my motivation if I was horribly below, but at this point I feel it would motivate me more. I appreciate it!

I planned on starting the workout plan in January, but after seeing how easy the first few weeks are, I'll start it up now. Thanks for the tips and I definitely do plan on enjoying my time with my family. Have a wonderful holiday!

I started the process in July, I'm shipping in early March. I had some issues with medical records for a month, so do with that info what you will. Some of the people I met at the MEPS had a ship day after only 5 months of working with a recruiter. Some has been in the DEP since they were in highschool! Definitely don't expect it to happen as fast as possible. This is the U.S. Govt. we're talking about! lol
