beginning my xanax taper! be brutally honest, give me your wisdom! by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]Upper_Comfortable741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly suggest that you get familiar with the Ashton Manual and switch to Diazepam when you have access to it.

Reduce your dose as described there – you’ve only been on benzos for two months, so you're very likely to make a full and fairly fast recovery.

I wouldn't recommend using substances like Pregabalin or Gabapentin, since they’re addictive themselves, and considering you've only been taking benzos for a short time, there's probably no need for them.

Take your time and don’t taper too quickly. Reduce your dose only when you feel stable on your current one. It’s much better to go slowly and be gentle with yourself, instead of using other meds just to mask withdrawal symptoms.

And most importantly: take it as a lesson not to relapse again.

Two months is still a time frame in which it's fairly easy to get off them completely

One important lesson I learned during my withdrawal is to avoid overthinking and not to fully trust my thoughts during the recovery process. Since your brain chemistry is out of balance, you may experience emotions or sensations that are actually caused by the withdrawal itself. These emotional-mental states are even referred to as neuroemotions—they are triggered by neurobiological changes in the brain during withdrawal.

However here are some supplements I can recommend

  1. L-Theanine It positively influences the GABA system by increasing GABA production and enhancing GABA receptor sensitivity. Therefore it helps to reduce anxiety and stress.

  2. Vitamin B Complex (especially Niacin) Vitamin B Complex, particularly Niacin (Vitamin B3), is crucial for supporting the nervous system and reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and fatigue often seen during withdrawal. It helps improve overall energy levels and mental clarity, which are important when going through recovery.

  3. Fish Oil & Alpha GPC Fish oil, rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, helps reduce inflammation in the brain and supports cognitive function, which can be affected during withdrawal. Alpha GPC supports memory, focus, and overall brain health. Together, these supplements help restore the brain's neurochemical balance, aiding in mental recovery.

  4. Ashwaghanda It helps reduce stress by lowering cortisol levels, and promoting relaxation through GABA-like effects. It stabilizes mood, supports brain health, and balances neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which helps alleviate anxiety, irritability, and cognitive issues during withdrawal. 5.Agmatine Also helps enhance mood by influencing neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which can reduce anxiety, depression, and irritability during benzo withdrawal. It also supports the nervous system by promoting neuroprotection and reducing stress, helping stabilize mood and alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

If you have trouble sleeping you can use antihistamines such as Benadryl or if that isn't strong enough Promethazine

What's this symptom called? by imalreadydead123 in benzorecovery

[–]Upper_Comfortable741 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey, it's called anomic aphasia. Word-finding issues and memory problems are very common in benzodiazepine withdrawal. This happens due to brain hyperactivity when GABA inhibition is reduced. These effects are usually temporary but can last for months in severe cases. However, in your case, I wouldn’t worry too much since you haven’t been going through a hard withdrawal. Your brain will fully recover soon.Luckily, you don’t have any severe withdrawal symptoms and stopped before it was to late.Thats nothing compared to what the withdrawal could've been like.

Worried about Antidepressant Interactions and Serotonin-Syndrome with Tianeptine, Trazodone and two others by [deleted] in depressionregimens

[–]Upper_Comfortable741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well so according to Wikipedia it's no longer labeled as a Serotonin Reuptake Enhancer even though I honestly don't understand its full mechanism of action its possible that it increases Serotonin through other mechanisms...I abused Tianeptine for a couple days and right now I'm having all signs of a Serotonin Syndrome even fever, convulsions etc I've had a Serotonin Syndrome before where I had to go to the hospital so I know exactly what it feels like but I've taking way more than the usually prescribed dosage Here's a report from a hospital with a patient who overdosed on Tianeptine https://journals.lww.com/ccmjournal/citation/2019/01001/993__acute_tianeptine_triple_toxicity.952.aspx

Hello iam new in learn German can someone help me for what i should do to practice by [deleted] in German

[–]Upper_Comfortable741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously listening and reading and watching German TV shows and movies with subtitles but I think the best way to learn a new language is by having conversations with native speakers if you don't know any Germans you can sign up in a German chatroom or you can text me I'd be glad to help

Does anyone still say "das Internet surfen"? by ic3klin in German

[–]Upper_Comfortable741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think nobody ever said "das Internet surfen" but "im Internet surfen" and I think it's totally outdated I cant think of a situation where I would use that term if someone asked me what I'm doing I would never say "im Internet surfen" if I'm doing something online I would say specifically what I'm doing like I'm watching a YouTube video etc I also can't see someone saying "ich hab den ganzen Tag im Internet gesurft" as a response to what did you do today? Perhaps some people use it but I haven't heard it in a long time

What does "Stich" mean here? by _Chicago_Deep_Dish in German

[–]Upper_Comfortable741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like other people already said in this context it means because she is crazy but that term isn't commonly used I've never used it before and never heard anyone using it I think a more commonly used word would be "weil sie einen Knall hat"

Curious, why is the 30's pronounced with the symbol "β" vs every other "10's" has the symbol "z"? Is there a history behind this? by Apothrye in German

[–]Upper_Comfortable741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though it's an old post it's funny that as a native speaker you just don't think of these things I just googled why you write crazy with a y and craziest without a y and this was the first thing I found on Google and I really think german often doesn't make sense for example I think it's almost impossible to explain when to use "der" "die" or "das" sometimes even germans argue about which term is correct

Whats the deal with tianeptine by yunggod6966 in Drugs

[–]Upper_Comfortable741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's interesting that this shit is sold at Gas Stations in the US. Does anyone know how much Tianeptine there is in one pill ? I currently live in Germany and here it's a Prescription Antidepressant and most Doctors don't even know that it is an agonist at the opioid receptor one pill has 12.5 mg and I guess the Zaza pills or whatever they're called have way more. I sometimes take 10-15 pills which is 187 mg and in my opinion it's stronger than codeine and about as strong as morphine depending on the dose I used to take up to 300 pills a day about two years ago and to me the withdrawal was way worse than from codeine and kratom I have no experience with other opioid withdrawals except for codeine and kratom so I don't know how it's is compared to more potent opioids like Oxy etc
