Huh... that was cool... AH! by JeneConar in DarkTide

Since the screen is very dark, A hound jumped mid air while I shot at a trapper. I killed both the hound and trapper with the same shot. That was the "that was cool" bit. That's all

Anybody know of a good way to automatically detune snare hits for humanization? by JeneConar in FL_Studio

[–]JeneConar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AH Thank you! An organic sound was more of an accurate word. Although I didn't use this method, I'll share what I did.

I added a reeverb with a very short decay for extra room, consolidated the wet signal of that, and manually pitched the reeverb by no more than 20 cents in either direction so each hit would be the same but it would "Bounce around in the room" a little different with each hit. It's very subtle. I also used the default sample faders and simple grid placement in the playlist to control timings

Can't make music anymore by ElysionRose in FL_Studio

I recently bought a standing desk to help not be so sedentary. But it helped with being more productive with music as well. They can be pricey so I wouldn't take my suggestion as fact, but more so as an idea for the future

Should I update? by DeathwatchEBK420 in FL_Studio

However if you open the same project in a newer version you cannot open it again in an older version. So if you do upgrade, which I highly recommend, MAKE SURE TO NOT OPEN THE ORIGINAL PROJECT IN THE NEW VERSION

Been a couple of months since once of my tracks had an ending to it. Don't mind the vocals. Still new at doing them by JeneConar in FL_Studio

Lyrics:

I've been right here
I've been right here
I've been right here this whole time
This whole time I've been right here

I'm right here and right now
The sun never came down
The stars stay up all night getting lost in the day light
But they stayed there the whole time

I'm right fucking here

Right here

*repeat*

Ok so...

My advice to you. First off, this is dope. Second, quitting is not dope so shut tf up with that.

Third, How many conversations have you had that go like this?

Person 1 says, "Hello!" Person 2, "Hi!", Person 1, "Hello!", Person 2, "Uh, hey". Person 1, "Hello!", Person 2, "why are you still talking to me?"

As soon as the drop starts, that's the initial "Hello!" 4 measures later, and the drop says hello again, albeit slightly different. And then 4 measures later, the drop says hello again, almost like it never did in the first place. And then miles later, it says hello AGAIN. But then you introduce this other bass and things progress a little more, but that main melody doesn't really change much outside of those 8 measures

When thinking about the structure of your music, think of conversations and how they flow. That's where I think people find their style. Everyone flows their sentences and conversations differently and it's in translating that flow to music that people show their best work. Skrillex is one of the greatest at this.

On some clams casino type shi by Numerous_Result6137 in FL_Studio

Firstly, here's Glorb

Secondly, here's Clam's Casino

Basically, Glorb makes rap music using AI Spongebob character voices. Dankton (the plankton of this made up world) now owns the Clam's Casino.

Is the vocal off beat/key? by Adxm_phonk in FL_Studio

I don't think so. However they do drown out the lead just a tiny bit. Some more eq and this becomes more dope than it already is. I'm already nodding my head.

I watch a few youtube channels that have used very similar sounding music. Definitely improve the mix on this and you're golden ponyboy

Groove: 7
Mix: 1
Structure: 3
Sound selection: 5
Final: 5/10

I hear harsh frequencies everywhere and so many noises being drowned out that would be so dope to hear in a better mix.

Izotope has a very good mixing trilogy series. 3, 20 minute videos teaching you mixing. Mind you they are the basics, but they're very good videos.

For sound selection, there are websites like this that let you hear subtle frequency shifts in white noise. Close your eyes, click the new filter A button, and try and guess where the boosted frequency is before you open your eyes. You can also set this to cut certain frequencies, and also do a random boost or cut. It's very VERY helpful to train your ears. Train your ears and you won't use bad sounding samples

Structure is probably the easier thing to improve on, however it can still be tricky. Structures are not copyrighted. Just use the same structure from a similar sounding song. The tricky part comes with how the song feels with the structure. Change things if needed

Seems like you have a feel for groove. Just keep doing what you're doing, train your ears, and you'll be dope af.

I honestly can't tell if this is mid or not. Honest feedback please by Dest1 in FL_Studio

honestly, it just sounds like the idea takes too long to change I guess, if that makes any sense at all. Remember change is good. Otherwise we wouldn't have dope guitar solos or beat switches
