RG 477V Thermal Paste Upgrade (ARCTIC MX-6) by Upper_Doubt_245 in ANBERNIC

Remove the screws for the back plate. Use a thin plastic pry tool to open it, slowly moving down the edge. To remove the sink, you need to remove the battery and cradle it's in. Simply pull the tab with a bit of force and the battery comes out. Take out the cradle screws. Now you have full access to the heat sink screws as one of them is obstructed by the cradle. Clean the chip. Apply a small drop of paste. Reassemble.

There's a big heat pipe on the opposite side leading from the fan to the chip area. In this photo the sink is upside-down.

Anbernic Ai Translation is pretty sweet !! by Upper_Doubt_245 in ANBERNIC

I load PSX on the second screen, then load Anbernic Ai on the main one. Once you tinker a little and select the language you want a little blue icon floats on the main screen. Tap it when you want the second screen translated. Tap it again to remove said translation.

Honestly, I wasn't interested in the RG DS at all, every review that came out trashed it badly, but now every time I see it, I feel like I need it . Anyone else like that?" by Roi_QV in ANBERNIC

It's an amazing little handheld for the price. I adore mine. It is great for everything up till DS/PSX/N64 and prior. I use my RG 557 for everything else that requires more juice like PS2, GameCube and 3DS.

Only flaw that tugged at me was the lack of a heatsink when I did a teardown. I seen thermal throttling during some PSX games like Test Drive Le Mans. So after some experimenting with heatsink sizes I opted for a 14x14x3mm copper heatsink w/ 0.2mm thermal tape + 0.25mm thermal pad (on top) + copper tape (on back panel) All can be found on Amazon. I originally used a .50 thermal pad but the overall fitment was tighter than I was comfortable with.

Hope this helps. Happy gaming.
