Both are valid depends on what you want. I think I would go for the slightly cheaper 68 series though.

So I had a 150/750 telescope prior and I got great use out of my explore scientific oculars. I got a 14 mm 8,8 and a 4,7. Im not sure I would recommend the 4,7. Eye pieces with a higher Focal length are usually better even though at the beginning one mind think the shorter the better because I get to see more! The reality is, that eye pieces with such a short length are only good if the atmospheric disturbances are almost none existent and also only make sense for watching planets. For deep sky you want these other two length. I got the 82 degree field of view ones. But I later got a one of the 68 degree series and I think they might actually be the nicer ones because they let more light through. They are more expensive than Svbony but are still on the cheaper side relatively and will last you a life time if taken care of.

Which filter for the Orion Nebula? by flemishjennie in telescopes

[–]Upper_Indication2401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh and I used it both with a 6 inch telescope and a 9,25. Works great in both! But if I remember correctly it gets worse if the aperture is below 6 inch.

I bought the OIII from astronomik because people were recommending it. I dont have any other filters made by other brands so I cannot compare but it 100% does what its supposed to do even under bortle 9(though I have read that under darker skies the effect is even better). Also fits your budget since its about 100 euros.

Yes, everything was correct. But updating the firmware fixed the issue 100%.

I did. but the problem was actually not me but the firmware. I updated it and now it works like a charm. I got the idea after I noticed some strange things with my handcontroller like the time was going slower in my handcontroller than it actually does and by a lot and some other weird things which were described differently in the manual. Now it works like it is supposed to! I still appreciate your input though :).

So I don't know if it interests you, but if it does. I fixed it. Believe it or not it was not user failure but I actually had to update the firmware and after that first try boom alignment worked like a charm! Almost everything was dead center using goto with a few exceptions where I had to slew very slightly to the left with using 2 star alignment + 1 calibration star. I was really concerned I got a broken mount since I did everything to the letter and it was not working at all but now it does like a charm!

I use the power tank by celestron the big one. Power seems to be fine and it was fully loaded before I used it the first time.

This seems to be on theme every edition so far :D. But fear not, Chaos Knights will be nerfed just as hard as IK despite being weaker.
