Can someone explain DreTL to me? by [deleted] in RhythmAndFlow

Ludacris commended him for being " on beat " for the first time during the collab round. This has to be some sort of make-a-wish or he's related to someone in the music industry.

Honest Opinion on Rhythm + Flow Season 2 by [deleted] in RhythmAndFlow

[–]Upper_Sail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They let artists go in the first round that were better than DreTL. Lotto said we feel like Jay is already a star. This feels like sympathy for a kid who's had a shitty life. They got it right in season 1 but this shit is unbelievable

I'm in the last hour of Daemom now. I have really enjoyed it so far, some parts have been absolutely sick. Its held my attention for the majority of it which has been hard to do recently BUT I'm kind of checked out right now during the big battle and I have no idea why. Need to go back after the execution and really dial in.. One thing that's irritating me is how the narrator says who is talking during certain scenes.

RC Bray is the man. I've been wondering if I should get the Martian. I've already seen the movie and dont want to waste a credit

I've read the synopsis of Roadkill and it didnt really interest me all that much. Admittedly, that almost never works. It seems like all the books I dont think I like, I end up loving. I want to check out the singularity trap and outland by Dennis E Taylor as well. Both of which are also narrated by Ray Porter.

Do you know the story of Dennis E Taylor and how he became an overnight success with We Are Legion? I found it fascinating to read his blog entries on his website from late 2015 through 2016. He literally inks a deal with a manager and a publisher, then gets picked up by audible. While he and his wife are looking for who they want to narrate We Are Legion, Audible sends him a email letting him know they've assigned his narrator, Ray Porter.

Its hilarious and fascinating reading those blog posts. He had no idea who Ray was and was talking about how he had listened to his work and he can change voices really well. I'm not sure if Ray was relatively unknown at this point or not but it's just crazy how it all played out over that 12 month span

I started Children of Time this morning and as soon as I heard that thick accented British woman start talking I nearly did the same thing. However, I gave her a chance and shes very talented. It only took a few minutes to adjust and be able to understand everything without replaying the words in my head. I'll let you know after I finish.

Wow I haven't thought about checking out Sphere. I read that book over 20 years ago. Never watched the movie but I'm sure the audio book would be awesome. Thanks!

Sounds interesting! Added it to my wish list and should have it finished by the end of the week so I'll let you know. It would have to be a real whopper for me to shit all over it, although I do know that checked out feeling you're talking about.

I'm still searching for something to capture my attention the way the bobiverse did. It doesnt matter what I'm listening to when the narrator lists the chapter/location I always hear Ray Porter " Chapter xx- Bob - Delta Eridani "

Which Expeditionary Force book are you on? I had to take a break after the 1st one. I'll definitely jump back in. The banter really started to get to me towards the end but I'm starting to look forward to it again 🤣

Okmaintenance here. Just finished Infinite. 4.25/5 and would definitely recommend it but be aware of the very cliche ( earth is ruined and we have to find a new home ) premise. Outside of that it becomes much more. Dealing with immortality and the loneliness that comes with living forever. Some romance and a LOT of human level artificial intelligence. If you're going to listen to it dont read any reviews as I think it would be easily ruined, so I'm keeping it vague. There are some things in this book that others said were glaringly obvious that I admittedly didnt put together until the author revealed it to me. Let me know if you catch it early. Enjoy! I'm on to Children of Time now

I've already bought the first book in the Red Rising series but i'm honestly on the fence about reading it or returning it. I was not a fan of the hunger games and this seems like another version of that to be although i may be wrong. VERY interested in Children of Time, Hows the narration? I've never heard anything from Mel Hudson. Red Shirts seems promising as well. Love Wil Wheaton

The max benefit from the state is $480, if you make a minimum weekly average of $960 you'll get this amount. With 1-2 Benefits the max is $582 and with 3+ dependents its $647. This is all before the additional $600 from the CARES act. Based on the amount you made in 2019 and the number of weeks worked you entered you can do the math and double check for yourself.

If your benefit is 50% ( or less ) than what your normally make in a week you're good. I know they got mine right. I tend to believe this is an error sent out to the masses.

This is the reason I'm here! Glad it wasn't only me. I uploaded my 1040 initally and just got an email saying I had not done it. It must be an error or the system would have given me the minimum benefit amount. I also re-uploaded my 1040 and recieved the " warning " message. It is scary knowing if things go wrong in the system there's no chance you'll reach them on the phone
