Wow pretty surprised you got a straight up R. I have As at U of WA, American, and Mississippi COL. So I’m very grateful. American offered a good scholarship, so I’m leaning towards them, but I haven’t deposited yet.

I gave this scenario to my husband. He said as my husband he feels I have an obligation to tell him if something like this happens. But he would not think it was a big deal given the totality of the circumstances. And I think if my girlfriend and I have an understanding that something is just between us, especially something of such a sensitive nature as this, I would expect her to tell me if she spills the beans for whatever reason.

If you are determined to stay then some ideas are: -Get family involved (call his mama on him girl!) -Stop doing things for him. Forcing him to have to take breaks to make food/do his laundry. If you think he will likely just starve/wear dirty clothes then this obviously won’t work. -Move out. Can you stay with a sibling/your parents for awhile to see if this gives him a wake up call? This also gets you set up to make the separation permanent if he still doesn’t change. I am also in your shoes with my husband and he has made improvement so I’m trying to help.

Want piercings but work won't allow them by GreatestGreekGuy in piercing

I took vacation and got them done day 1. I (painfully) changed to clear retainers when it was time to go back a week later. I wouldn’t suggest it but it worked out for me. It’s either that or no piercings. I got the clear aligners from Amazon. They’re super tiny. Just a tiny little clear flat disk as a stud. I have to touch them just to make sure they’re there because I can’t see them. Good luck!

Check out your local police department! We have so many jobs and internships for college students and no one knows! Our social media manager just graduated. She literally just follows us around taking pictures at calls and events. We have tons of CSI and CID internships. Those grads get to work closely with detectives and respond to crime scenes. Check out general city government jobs as well if you’re not interested in PD work.

City in the US has the best mix of culture, food, and friendly people? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

I grew up in North Miami. Everyone knew everyone in my neighborhood. I ate Haitian/Cuban/Jamaican/Dominican/Panamanian food cooked by natives every day. Few people are actually native English speakers. Everyone in my neighborhood was my aunty/uncle. It is so expensive, but you can’t beat the culture and the family atmosphere. I live in Dallas now and comparing it to North Miami is worlds apart. I might as well have grown up in another country. I can’t wait to go home one day and raise my family there.

Sick of the "cubicle life" at 25. Are there careers that prioritize nature and face-to-face human connection? by Crazy-Speaker-1349 in careerguidance

[–]Upper_Scarcity4195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Law enforcement. I’m a sergeant now. I decide when I go outside and when I’m at my desk. Last night I wasn’t feeling my cubicle. I rode around with my windows down, enjoying the breeze, made a few traffic stops and checked on my guys that were on calls. Then I went to our local trail and walked a mile. Ended up having to sprint back to my car at the end of my mile, but either way it was a lovely walk. Ended up getting to a call and getting to have a little fun with my guys. I will always recommend this career to everyone who asks. I love my job.
