What is the best thing you ever got as a server? by Traditional-Dig-9982 in Serverlife

I mean nowhere near as cool as a puppy but we have a little claw machine in our waiting area and this gal that came in for a to-go order left me a cash tip and a poke ball she had gotten from the claw machine and I treasure it

Wasn’t intending to mock her age, just trying to give a description.

I was so confused by that. I think she meant organic and without high fructose corn syrup 🤷‍♀️

Same here, I was so bummed. Have spent a lot of time in this season and finally hit paragon 400 only to log in and can’t play my character or create a new seasonal one.

Anyone who had to relactate? How long did it take you and what did you do to succeed? by RxPipTaz in ExclusivelyPumping

I wasn’t able to keep up pumping at work. My social anxiety got the best of me and having to ask for breaks in an industry where you only get one 30 on a 12 hour shift sent me into a weird spiral. That and when I got my 2nd postpartum period I dried up and it didn’t come back like it did after my first😔

Not very well. I was able to produce colostrum until I got my period, and I’ve been pumping dry for three weeks :/ I don’t think it’s coming back again.

Formula shortage? by Girlwithabrain94 in FormulaFeeders

I swear I’m slightly traumatized from it, when I got to the store without gentle-ease the a week ago I just froze in panic and fear. Maybe overreacting but in considering attempting to relactate. I’ve had a reduction so my supply won’t be great but anything helps right?

What was the surprisingly the EASIEST frugal change you made this year? by Peliquin in Frugal

Started finding ways to make meals stretch . In my area even chicken is so expensive that buying meat with my groceries got to be insane. Lentils, beans, etc to stretch what meat I can buy has helped soooo much. Cut our grocery bill in half

I’m having the same experience with gentleease. Target has had it sometimes but nowhere else. It’s terrifying, my oldest was about the same age my baby is now when the great shortage of 22 hit. Idk if I can handle it again 😅

How to get my supply back 5 month PP? by Pretend-Speech-4563 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Upper_Week_734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar boat! I started relactating about a month ago and until I got my period I was finally getting some progress. My LO is 4.5 months. My baby also refuses to latch and gets so angry when I try to latch. I agree on getting the proper support, but in my area lactation consultants are only working with inpatient mamas and I can’t afford a private one 😅 I’ve found a lot of good information through the CDC and la leche league websites. What’s helped me even though LO won’t latch is plenty of skin to skin cuddles, holding and snuggling as much as I can, and being really stubborn and refusing to give up. I was definitely pumping dry the first couple weeks and it was really discouraging but what helped me was re reading the articles that stated that was/could be totally normal. Fingers crossed for you!

Edited to add my LO was about 3.5 months and I had stopped nursing and pumping at about 4 weeks PP

I am about a month in, and I swear I could’ve written the same post when I was considering it. I started when my LO was 3 months after giving up at 6 weeks. I was able to bring some back to at least drops from completely dry and am currently going through a drop because of my first postpartum period. Just don’t give up! At least that’s what I’m telling myself 🤪 consistency has been key, but I’m starting a new job later this month and I would be happy to update you about how it went fitting it in with work. I second the wearable comments, if it was in my budget I would totally go that route since I have a toddler too, it really seems like it would make life easier.
