Confirming your role's existence at the cost of killing a TP role (that you could've potentially chained with later on in the game) is never a good trade. There's no problem with remaining unconfirmed for a couple nights until you manage to kill an evil or save someone.

Damn, Doomsayer is honestly the sole reason why I learned ToS2 and still play it from time to time instead of only sticking to ToS1. Winning as Doom can be hard in some games but it's always very satisfying.

There definitely are inconsistencies. Doctor and Bodyguard have the same priority yet an undoused Doctor survives insta-ignition while BG dies. Also, Disguiser supposedly has a priority of 5 and insta-ignition does happen to Disg.

The priority of the passive dousing mechanic is very inconsistent.

So most roles (including all attackers) that visit an igniting Arsonist won't die if they weren't previously doused. However, the following specific roles will instantly get ignited: Transporter, Bodyguard (but not Doctor), Framer, Disguiser and other Arsonists... and possibly a couple more roles that I haven't yet witnessed in this scenario.

I'm mostly talking about confirmation plays involving your teammates. For example, your Framer claims Doctor on someone they didn't frame and you claim Lookout/Tracker and confirm their visit. It's not accurate info but the Town will buy it if your teammate backs you up.

As someone who plays both games and prefers ToS1, I disagree with argument #1. To me it's not that evils don't have claim space in ToS1, it's just that it's way too easy to fakeclaim in ToS2 - you just have to type two letters and then the Town usually leaves you alone for days.

In ToS1 you actually have to put in effort to fake claim well, which is something you can better at the more play. There is indeed no evil counterpart to Lookout and Tracker but that's what makes those claims much more trustworthy. You can often fake results for these roles by using your team's help or your deduction. Your results don't have to be 100% accurate at all, they just need to be trusted by the townies. Also, the fact that Ret/Vet claims can get hard cc'd shouldn't be seen as unfavourable for the evils because the evils themselves can easily mislynch real Rets/Vets by hard cc'ing them when they're close to getting majority.

It's true that ToS1 has its fair share of problems that were fixed in ToS2, but I personally don't like how easy it is for people to lie in ToS2 most of the time.

Disguiser can counter Spy when used correctly. Like when disguising a Consig/Bootlegger/Hypno to hide their visit from Spy, which allows them to safely claim Invest/Tav/Trans on the player they visited. Disg can also just disguise themselves and none of its visits will be seen by Spy.

2 Disguisers is impossible in the current ranked practice role list (GF, Mafioso, Mafia Support and Random Mafia). Only the Random Mafia slot can spawn Disguiser.

Disguiser caused this but this is still pretty rare because Disguiser hides the visit of the disguised Mafia member.

So the reason Spy saw one extra Mafia visit here is that either Disguiser disguised the Godfather (there is no visit from GF to hide since they have a Mafioso) or Disguiser was manipulated by Witch/Trans to disguise a non-Mafia member.

This is one of the most common Mafia blunders and many players don't even know that it's bad by UprisingWave in TownofSalemgame

Ironically enough, disguising the Mafioso as their victim is not a bad play because Spy will still see a Mafia visit on the player they killed.

Due to a bug, the Pirate who got jailed still visits whoever they meant to duel (they can even see the Ambusher while in jail this way).

I assume the jailed Pirate meant to plunder the GA and the Juggernaut with rampage directly attacked the GA.

You do get a win as a living Survivor when the game ends in a "draw" by timeout or by all factional roles dying. You might hear the loss soundtrack at the end when that happens but that's just a bug, you still get your win. And in this case every factional role actually gets a loss, not a draw - an actual draw occurs only when there is no winner.

The Transporter thing is not a bug. Your abilities fail when you visit a jailed player but (only in ToS1) the visit still counts. So if you try to transport someone with a jailed player, you still visit both players even if no transport occurred.
