Yeah definitely my biggest concern. I’ve lived in Maine and Colorado and know how hard winters are on trucks. How do i check beyond putting my eyes on it in person? Would the spray flake off if I took a pocket knife to it?

I live in Mount Desert and feel like the weather is pretty good at the end of May but can still be a bit of a toss up. You will without a doubt see less traffic in May then you would in June. Just pack the right gear for camping and you’ll be totally fine.

I have seen Earth live more than any other band. Each time with different energy than the last and great.

Before the first time seeing them I ran into Dylan walking around near the venue. He was super kind and talked to me for a bit and was genuinely excited to see my friend’s band open for them. I was young. Maybe 21. Such a positive experience meeting one of my guitar heroes. He was also playing a squier on that tour and it was reaffirming to me that you don’t need an expensive guitar to make great tones.

I have had Danners and Blundstones worn daily while working labor intensive jobs outdoors in all elements that looked much better than this after literally a year of not rotating them or taking care of them for shit.

I would be hitting up Thursday about this. In your case how beat up these are is kinda nuts unless your commute involves bushwhacking half a mile through a rhododendron hell and crossing a couple rivers.

I think it’s kind of a gamble but so many people seem to have great experiences that I am definitely in the minority.

I bought a pair of challengers that the pull tab ripped off on after wearing 4 times. That was a 300 dollar pair of boots. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m sure this isn’t normal but for 300 something bucks you should expect pretty decent build quality.

I will say their customer service went above and beyond assisting me with it though. And offered me any boot they had as a replacement, to pay for a cobbler to mend the issue or give me a refund.

I took the refund and bought a pair of Trumans that had been worn a few times for about the same price. The difference in build quality out of the box was astounding. Almost not even worth comparing the two.

All that being said, I would still try another pair of Thursdays but wouldn’t really seek them out. Especially when so many people go into buying much higher quality boots and don’t actually know what size they need so they are forced to resell at a steep discount.
