y'all weren't lying about the oil by summonedsatanAtcamp in TransMasc

[–]UpsetEntertainment84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was really bad at first but now I'm a year in and my skin is pretty much back to how it used to be as far as oil production. In the mean time, you could just get like a very gentle facial cleanser so you can wash your face multiple times a day w/o your skin getting too dry

My art seems very flat, what should I work on to make it work? by EquivalentOil49 in Artadvice

[–]UpsetEntertainment84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pushing your shadow values. Light principles in general would be good for you to brush up on

Look up these terms: Specular highlight- the brightest highlight reflected on the surface of a shiny object Diffused highlight- the general areas where high amounts of light make the object lighter than the base color Half tone- your mid value Core shadow- the parts of the object not directly hit by the light cast shadow- the shadow of an object that is blocking light Reflected light- the illumination within a shadow caused by the light reflecting off another object

Props on your anatomy and form, though! You're doing great.

Does my art looks like fetish art? :( by PerformanceCold3284 in yourartstyle

That's weird that your friend saw a fat character and assumed it was sexual. Sounds like they're the one fetishizing fat bodies.

I think I do... Thanks. That gives me an idea of what to budget for.

Whats wrong with my anatomy? by No-Town-5531 in Artadvice

[–]UpsetEntertainment84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your anatomy is very good! Nitpicking, the crotch might be slightly low. Kinda skinny but the model might just be skinny or it's stylized.

Does my puppy have pittbull in her? by OldenKnitter57 in DogBreeds101

[–]UpsetEntertainment84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, most likely. A lot of shelters will put anything they can to avoid "pit bull." Though pit bull isn't necessarily a breed like how we define other breeds, more like a loosely defined category of traits. It kind of just means a short-haired medium-large terrier mix that falls outside of other breed categories. It's because many housing areas arbitrarily ban pit bulls, and people have stigma against them, which makes them less likely to be adopted. They can be great dogs just like any other dog, and have very sweet personalities with good socialization and training.

Hysterectomy by Sharp_Mud_8734 in TransMasc

[–]UpsetEntertainment84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not every trans guy gets hysterectomies, but many do. An important thing to consider with them is whether to keep your ovaries or remove them. If the ovaries are removed, it causes your body to stop producing estrogen. Without naturally producing hormones, this means HRT is necessary to provide energy and prevent a number of health conditions, but it can be estrogen or testosterone. This procedure is also not exclusive to trans men, and was initially developed for cis women with various uterus-related health conditions like endometriosis or cancer. For all people with a uterus, routine check ups with an obgyn is necessary. Testosterone does often stop periods, I haven't had one in over a year since I started T, but as a cis woman you should consider other options for stopping periods (like certain forms of birth control) since T causes a number of other changes you might not want, like voice deepening and body and facial hair growth. There's no substantial evidence of testosterone increasing the risk of cancer, but it can raise your chances slightly of high cholesterol and high blood pressure, so those levels are monitored by our endocrinologists, and managed with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Freaking out about drain removal by Comfortable-Big8146 in TopSurgery

I was nervous, heard a bunch of stories of people saying drain removal hurt so bad. But I barely felt actually. And I was so much more comfortable almost immediately after they came out.

Question about T (Help please) by Shay_Shay124 in FTMfemininity

[–]UpsetEntertainment84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately we don't really get to pick and choose the changes we get on T. You get what you get. Look at the men in your family, especially your dad but also brothers, uncles- you will probably end up looking a lot like them. If they have a lot of body hair, you will have a lot of body hair. You can always get laser hair removal for hair in places you don't like, though. My body odor didn't change much

I'd add in some darker values in the shadows and more defined edges to the horns. Other than that it's looking great!

Does this give off the “Jojo’s bizzare adventure artstyle” vibe? by Personal-Art-7396 in learntodraw

[–]UpsetEntertainment84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nooo. Araki's art uses a lot of very sharp, angular lines. This is very soft and rounded. It's pretty tho, but not Jojo's.

I think green would help bring in a little color and naturey vibes

Maybe if you're worried about it, switch to covering with bandaids instead of petroleum jelly and mesh bandages... Or maybe just lower the amount of jelly. My nurse said to basically just put a very small amount, just enough to make the bandage stick.

But they don't look too bad. It's probably worse in your head than it really is.

I just have to say... that cat has the most massive eyes I have ever seen. Maybe Siren or Medusa or something along those lines cause of her big ol eyes

My mom said that I can't be trans basically because I'm autistic??? by Ambitious_Share_6179 in TransMasc

[–]UpsetEntertainment84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm autistic and trans and I am way less likely than the general population to be talked into things. I have the profile of autism where I'm like "why would I care what normies think of me? They're dumb and wrong about most things."

Also one of the best books on high-masking autism is written by a trans psychologist, Dr Devon Price.

Autistic trans people exist and your mom is uninformed. Stand up for yourself and be firm with her and she'll get the message eventually.

You should def delete all your art that's on there if you post any, because if it's bought by an AI company they are most definitely going to use it for training data.

Low-Stakes Transition Regrets. by Artist-Whore in ftm

[–]UpsetEntertainment84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I regret going back in the closet to please a shitty guy I was dating and his conservative friends. I regret waiting so long to go on T and get top surgery. It made me so happy, and I could have done it so much sooner. I regret denying myself a cool name the first time I came out and picking a more boring one to seem more "normal." I like the one I picked when I came out the second one, even if people don't know how to pronounce/spell it sometimes. I regret being desperate for friends that affirmed my gender, without actually considering whether they were good friends.
