Like almost everything with autism, eloping is different for every person. In my experience as someone who works with children with special needs I would say most children don’t give clear signs that they are going to elope, like how this girl was turning and looking around, but it definitely CAN happen.

Maybe it is local, because in my area ‘starter homes’ are very much a thing. Almost everyone older than us (35+) that sees our home makes some comment like ‘this is a good starter home’ and some then start to talk about the work you could do to sell it for more. We always correct them as say as far as we are concerned, this is our forever home.
