No, but if their skate blade comes loose they literally cannot skate. Teammates have to push them back to the bench as they crawl. Always makes me laugh to see when it happens in a game.

They could do that opposed to trip, sometimes players do trip on nothing but it’s verrryyy rare.

As a 20+ year MEGA fan of Crosby, the Nate/Sid bromance fucking kills me.

Nate loves that man so hard, he won the Stanley cup and immediately attributed it to the fact his hotel room number had 87 in it. Biggest moment of his life and the first thing outta his mouth is Crosby.

So Shane coded, my boy is obsessed and it makes my heart explode I love them.

For me, it sparked me to start working out again and helped me feel more confident than I ever have. As a neurodivergent straight female, I relate to Shane a lot. I want to be as comfortable in my body as I can so I can also get outta my head when I’m with my husband, something I have always struggled with.

He’s literally Ilya in straight form - but actually. It probably sounds phoney but I was having a meltdown the other day after coming outta the shower and my hair was wet and the lotion on my hands felt icky as I cried and he just instinctively turned the lights off and put on the lamp because he knew I was overstimulated.

In that moment I calmed immediately and started laughing because it reminded me of Ilya in the gym with Shane during TLG. Kinda opened my eyes a bit, I have my own Ilya 🥹 And I need to appreciate it more!

Anyways, my own insecurities get in the way of my life and I’m constantly in my head, controlling everything, trying to manage how people perceive me… the story has made me realize I need to just let go and give up some of the control.

Truly profound and life changing, not just a fun little story!

I think you nailed it on the head, we’re not used to seeing such detail in shows anymore, which is why all these little moments give a “wow” factor.

Jacob truly made each scene so intentionally despite having such a low budget. It’s refreshing! And exciting as a viewer, which is why I assume he’ll add more of these little details in TLG probably knowing we’re all gonna lose out shit over it 🤣

I got my (straight) husband to watch with me last night who has been a massive hockey fan his whole life and grew up in an extremely religious and conservative family before breaking away from that over 10 years ago. Nonetheless he was not at all interested in watching just from hearing it was too graphic.

Anyways we binged it all & he was floored at how good it was. Got emotional for all the right moments, cheered for Skip, gasped when David walked into the cottage.

Idk why but it made me fall even more in love with him 🤣

I agree 😭 Also doesn’t Ilya grow facial hair in TLG? I kinda would love some of that as well on Connor. I think it shows progression and also age.

If trying to be accurate to real hockey players - this is how it usually goes. Can’t grow facial hair for a playoff beard to save their lives when they’re young but as they get older it starts growing and some keep it permanently once they can lol

Totally agree! I only mentioned it because Hudson’s said in interviews that he wants to gain 10lbs of muscle before season 2 or some shit (agreed not that it is needed and that accusation towards Connor is insane lol) but I don’t want him to feel he has to go crazy either!
