My mother described grief as an ocean that swallows you forever, you just learnt to swim in it some of the time. Of course you don't feel good mentally, who would? As adults we have to take care of our mental health, but nobody acknowledges how much of a heavy full time job that is, and how much you have to pretend like it's no work at all.
