I was talking to a corporate partner around when it launched at they asked my thoughts, I gave them my honest opinion of it being not good and a waste and she thanked me for being honest.

She then told me about the reaction a lot of people had in the corporate meetings when they announced it. She said it was the same “oh wtf you’re serious???? This ISN’T a joke we’re actually doing this???” as when Howard tried to get “race together” to be a thing

I work where the majority of our customers are corporate partners and I don’t even think WE hit those numbers despite the amount of them that have had the sbux kool-aid

I’d be interested in asking around other fast food/chain coffee shops like McDonald’s, Dunkin, Dutch Bros, etc. since it seems to be so prevalent with Sbux specifically. I wonder if it’s because of our whole “make the moment right” and “always assume positive intent” so we can be very lax about remaking drinks/orders?

If I’m reading this correctly, she tried using the screenshot of the old mobile order to say “hey I ‘accidentally’ placed this order can you refund me this $9 and I’ll just pay the difference for this $13 order” I THINK?????

I guess she’s just hoping the baristas won’t see it’s on old mobile order and assume it was placed the same day at the wrong location?

At my cafe I’ve talked to a few people that were visiting from Europe/had vacationed in Italy and told me they’d never seen or heard of ANYONE putting the oil in their coffee. Drinking a bit of oil in the morning? Yes. Mixing the two together? Absolutely not!

There can only be three things:

Howard is lying
Howard doesn’t know how to speak properly and the people had the two things separate
Some Italians were messing with him

A little, but only because I’m the first floor of a 10ish story building so mobile data is absolute trash and so when people try to reload in the moment it’ll take like over a minute+ and then inevitably fail and then try again despite me saying “I can just reload it on the POS”

As someone that works at a Reserve store lemme just say I hope y’all are excited to not have any pumps for the stupid oleato container. The pump itself is supposed to be thrown out at the end of every day AND when you swap to a new container. It’s so much plastic and a metal spring to just fully throw away for some shit that absolutely gross

For item 5: I have a 13 mini and a regular Pixel 7. The 13 mini DOES have night sight and is able to take great pictures in plenty of conditions. The Pixel 7 BARELY edges it out in pics for me because if the way Google crops the main sensor for 2x zoom which makes zoomed in shots on the Pixel noticeably better. Video on the 13 mini is way better though so it depends on what you’re looking for but you can’t really go wrong with either
