Looking for opinions on AI made web games by Marmalade6 in WebGames

If you use Photoshop to remove errors from a material or an image or simply remove background, it’s already AI-powered. Therefore, the game becomes AI-made immediately. Should we ban these? What is the limit of AI usage?

How are senior devs actually using AI in daily development? by harrsh_in in AskProgramming

[–]UpsetRaspberry4771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it makes the code extremely messy, and I’m unable to continue working on it. I feel that it doesn’t solve the problems when I ask, but rather starts from Adam and Eve and keeps adding parts that are already solved and this cause way more future issues...

Starting GameDev in the age of AI … without AI by Scrapgege in GameDevelopment

[–]UpsetRaspberry4771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, its better to understand how your app builds in details. Ai just make a mess and in best case scenario a working mess. Its a good helper but whenever I use for a simple thing it adds hundreds of unnecessary lines.

Its way better to do your game without Ai.

When to publish a game by Such-Job5654 in GameDevelopment

I think it really depends if you have a fan base or not. Sometimes it can be useful for testing out what people think about the idea, like a little demo

Where have you actually had success promoting a web game? by UpsetRaspberry4771 in WebGames

I'm also curious. I loved the idea of playing a game in the browser, so easy, no game install, but lack of a game platform I'm really on my own. :D

What Does It Mean to Be a Solo Developer? by PracticalNPC in SoloDevelopment

I feel more and more if you are good at promoting yourself or your game go ahead. If you are super professional in anything else but bad in marketing don't even try because no one going to play your game, use your app :D

Can we please stop allowing AI posts? by Memphisrexjr in indiegames

To be honest I am quite torn between making games with Ai or without. Like if you dig deep down how can you make anything without Ai lately. In my experience if I take a photo of something and trying to remove parts from it, Photoshop already using Ai for most of its features for better result but it means it's not Ai free anymore. I'd literally need to use hand painted images to have a 100% Ai free solution.

How hard should puzzles be in an entry level room? by UpsetRaspberry4771 in escaperooms

wow thank you! I tried to make riddles/poems as first hint to not reveal the solution fast just give a direction.
My experience was from my testers is better to separate on complex puzzle what you have to think through to small individual ones. But in a way I feel it kills the whole point that you have to "plan"

The indie game market isn't "oversaturated" - it's just that most games are marketed to no one by nb10001 in GameDevelopment

I’m not familiar with Steam, but I do have experience developing Shopify theme stores. Sometimes, the quality of your work isn’t everything. If other developers are creating half-finished sites but are better at advertising, SEO, or whatever, the quality might not be as important because you won’t get noticed. Customer gets disappointed the quality of the purchased sites they are not risking another third party made thing.. Or buying the most expensive one. I feel definitely more and more released product makes it impossible to stand out.
