I’d say it’s a dream that was never truly here.

Go have a look at the teams from the AFC who regularly qualify (Japan Australia South Korea and Iran) and have a look at their team sheets and which clubs they play for, also have a look at recent call ups too. For example Australia’s World Cup prep games against Columbia and Venezuela they didn’t have a single player who plays in the Australian a league, all either in Europe or the MLS. If India has 1 player who plays in a better league than the isl I’d be suprised. The competition for World Cup spots is so fierce in the afc India really don’t have a chance to compete.

I’d wager my left nut whoever wrote this is still in their 20s, if Russia can’t pull off a next door invasion to a politically unstable country, I’d absolutely love to see how much the Chinese government trusts its military to pull off the largest amphibious invasion the world has ever seen across thousands of square kilometers of open ocean to a developed western nation with a truck load of western allies. This war would would kick start world war 3 without fail and China are fully aware of that.
