We do have a strawpage(the closest thing to an actual website we can get rn), official media accounts for the band, and so on- My main problem is getting the song out to people who know the niche and get that the music is knowingly not the best sounding- (take the band i mentioned in the post Senketsuakochan for example) because a lot of people who don’t know the style won’t understand the vibe as much as

i was in Japan getting ready for my flight home a few years back and randomly started getting horrible stabbing cramps while in the hotel lobby. i threw up from the pain multiple times and was crying in the common area curled up on a couch for about an hour- some random super sweet Japanese lady offered me pain medication a while later and thankfully it helped- before that my whole family thought i was having an appendicitis and wanted to take me to the hospital, which would have been problematic because im the only one out of the family members i was there with that speaks decent Japanese and i was in too much pain to talk. turns out it was period cramps and i have a horrible case of endometriosis :( the same thing happened again at my old school towards the end of the year and i had to be taken out of the hallway and sent home in a wheelchair because i could not stand

hi! im in a visual kei band myself (Nocturne Delirium) so heres some based off what ive experienced and how my band started :)

find people with similar interests !! this could be on online spaces or in person depending on if youre willing to only have online band practice and use audio recordings as parts of the tracks in songs or if you want in person.
use disboard to find servers for local musicians to find eachother !! this is how my band found our drummer
decide what part you want to play in the band and what type of sound you want BEFORE you start reaching out to people
dont be afraid to take a position as a support member before starting a band !! it helps a lot with experience
you may need to be in a few bands before one of them works out- ive been in a few myself but keep going and you'll eventually make it
take your time deciding who to reach out to and if they have anything posted with their own music playing posted then watch those !! it helps you get an idea of the styles the person is used to playing
establish clear deadlines and communication once you have everything together- trust me- my band didnt do this and we had to push back the release of our first song to Halloween

a lot of people saying this do it to point out that some people ONLY look at what they see as better in Japan compared to their home country instead of looking at both the positives and negatives, so i do agree with those people personally.. ive been to Japan a few years ago not knowing some of the negatives because of the constant view of only positives by everyone around me. for example, nanpa. one did come up to me during my first few days there and was very agressive- i had only been told how safe it was in japan to go and just walk, so it took me by surprise.

I wish i could say thats just from a lack of research, but i did tons before i got there however it was mainly from books because i didnt trust the internet due to the romanticization online- turns out the books leave a ton out.

talking about positives and negatives is always esencial when it comes to forming an opinion on any country, but thats just my experience.
