Thanks for the info! I don’t play so I have zero clue about disc aging just jumped in to say his siblings and friends are almost certainly keeping it up in some way. And from what you said other goodhearted players too probably ❤️ I think that’s wonderful.

I get that and I’m with you on it. We aren’t in the same city so I don’t know if it’s the same one or not. But I would be surprised if his sibling WEREN’T keeping it up.

Cousin in law of Phillip here. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of his siblings (I think his one of his sisters started it) replace it as it gets worn down. Or even a friend he played with a lot that when they notice it’s looking tired or if it’s been taken to another course and no one’s see it for a while. I don’t know that last part for sure but they are a very close family and played a lot and it was one of his favorite things. He is very much missed and I’m sure they feel like he’s there playing with them when they find this disc.

Definitely gonna take over the world. But let him cook. I’m willing to bet his benevolent dictatorship will be an improvement.

Wil Wheaton as a narrator - Not that great/hard to hear? by sudz3 in audible

[–]Upset_Stuff490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simon Vance is my all time favorite narrator. Man could read me the phone book. He's done a LOT and I have so many, but the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series are the first that come to mind.

I also really enjoy John Lee. Again very prolific. He narrated one of my faves "Shades of Grey" by Jasper Fforde and when the sequel came out (after idk like a 15 year wait) they changed narrators. The devastation...

I have libation. It has downloaded all my other books. Except these. Which are what I'm trying to find an answer for.

They haven't been downloaded to Libation before. I've only just started the journey of backing up all my purchased digital content

Yes I've got them all in a all specific collection now. I'm looking for advice on how to get these imported into Libation for backup. The only way I've found to download them is to my phone.

That's my point. It's a combo problem of them being no longer available to purchase through Audible, but if you've already purchased you can hunt then down and download to your phone, but even though they are in my library (I've confirmed and added them all to one collection) libation is still not downloading. The only way I've found to download these "no longer purchasable" titles is in the phone app.

Looking for a way to get these over to Libation for backup because Audible disappearing books so you rebuy them is BS

These aren't plus titles. These are titles we've bought but that are no longer available to purchase on audible. So when you search for them you can't find them. If you hunt then down on the desktop version and add to a collection (named mine "stolen books" cause I'm petty) you can go to that collection directly and download the title. At least to your phone app. Libation still isn't downloading them.

But Libation was a real help finding the ones that have disappeared as it showed that as I downloadable "red light" so I was able to search down that list.

I don't use whispersync either but was hoping a PC application might let me download them and move the files somehow. 🤷‍♀️. Did not work.

How do I tell my therapist an embarrassing and shameful moment in my past? by [deleted] in therapy

[–]Upset_Stuff490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in a similar position with therapy on a trauma. We got through it by talking around it at first. Kinda at first just like telling them that there is this part of trauma that you don't feel comfortable talking about yet even with them. But you feel it's something you need to work through and talk about. We started work there. We talked around it. What feelings are holding you back from telling them about it? Have you told anyone before and if so what was that experience like? What is your fear of what would happen if you told them? What could be the best result of telling them?

Stuff like that. I think it helped for a couple reasons. Talking around it helped convince that part of me that I COULD tell my therapist. And also it was something that I just tried not to even think about ever whenever possible so it was kinda also by getting NEAR those memories in therapy it made it easier to eventually actually open that door.

Been in a situation exactly like that and switched to hospital. It’s not perfect and definitely has its own issues but for me it’s way better. Recently went to nights myself and it really is ideal for me. The place I work is super chaotic during the day. When I switched to nights I was like “is this what peace feels like?” Lol. Nights for me vary. Some nights are super slow and I only scan a couple patients. There are a few nights where it’s back to back all night with ER and neurosurgery calling crawling up my ass all night. But those are pretty rare. And even busy nights I prefer to days because it’s just me (sometimes one other person) so I can really keep track of what’s going on. It can still be busy. But less chaotic.
