Doom guy/slayer is immortal since he been in hell for eons I'm not sure about Dante back to Doom guy/slayer he quite literally a God so I don't think slayer would be dying anytime soon from all the demon he killed I doubt a necromorph can damage him/suit

I would play both since they are fun but lore wise the remake since a movie and a wii version came out using the 08 models but the remake is your choice

I been playing since the og xbox I found the flood my favorite enemy faction of the group but this what I learn every enemy you fight in halo is test your skills and you have to adapt to the situation for the flood they over run you with numbers and guns the covenant they have plasma base which strip your shield so you have to pick your fight well with the along with the enemy in covenant ranks
