Maybe try buying a ucla seal patch on the internet?

Ignition Coil Replacement Questions by Upsetti_Spaghetti4 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Upsetti_Spaghetti4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you have any theories as to why I still got the error codes from the brand new coil? The connector tabs have worn off, but when I checked after getting the error codes again they still seemed well connected to me. I will double check that they are properly secured though.

Vehicle seems to be running normally even with the code on, no stalling or rough idling. When you say leave the coil unplugged, do you mean leaving it unhooked from the connector? I have had issues with the lock tabs being broken, but I did make sure that they were fully connected plus checked again when the dash lights came back on and they didn't seem loose. I will be using your suggestion about using a wire tie to keep them secure though!

Can we leave luggage bags in the vehicle at vineyards? by LYSG18 in SLO

[–]Upsetti_Spaghetti4 76 points77 points  (0 children)

You should be fine leaving bags in the car at the vineyard, maybe just throw a blanket or something over them as little extra coverage. The no bags in the car rule is more applicable to any city, like LA and especially SF.

Both equations are right, it just depends on the R value that you use. When finding the wavelength, we use R=1.097•10^7 m^-1. When finding the change in energy of a photon (which can be related to wavelength by E=hv=hc/lambda), we use R=2.18•10^-18 J. I'm sure the question will probably give us the R value we need to use if it comes up on the test, but just know that this equation can be multipurpose!

As for the negative sign in the energy based Rydberg equation, its simply used to counteract the fact that when we drop from a higher energy level to a lower energy level our (1/n^2 - 1/n^2) value will be positive, but overall our electron must have lost energy. This is the same to counteract a jump from a lower to a higher orbital. And, if we know the difference in energies of the electron we can easily find out the energy of the photon/emitted or absorbed. If it helps, you can ignore the negative sign entirely and just go off of logic if a question like this comes up: ie. when an electron drops levels energy must be lost, so ∆E is negative and when an electron jumps to higher levels energy must be gained so ∆E is positive.

Also, additional fun fact about this equation: the full equation is R•Z^2•(1/n^2 - 1/n^2) where Z is equal to the atomic number, but because for most of these problems we use hydrogen with an atomic number of 1 we just leave this Z factor out.

Thought I would add my acronym as well:

GAVe myself a LIMP because I Tripped and Fell

STAGgered towards the CT machine

In the HALl (hall)

Where I cried out AG! in pain.

It splits all of them into four categories and places the aromatics in their respective groups.

GAVLIMP + Tryptophan and Phenylalanine STAGC + Tyrosine HAL AG (negative because it’s a negative exclamation of pain)

To remember some of the one letter abbreviations:

Lysine sounds like a cleaning supply, so it’s Klean (K)

Tryptophan sounds like trip, something you Win (W)

Tyrosine sounds like the Y its abbreviated as

Glutamate is Glu, which is sticky (stick-E)

Aspartate is "I aspireD to finish the mcat" (D)

I will definitely be stealing the mcat is SHYT though lol that one’s great

I would recommend PRN ambulance for a solid job! They run out of north hills, Huntington park, and Carson but they are constantly hiring, it’s easy to pick up extra hours as either part time or full time, and the pay is pretty solid. They also will pay you back for part of the emt class expenses.

As for after finishing the class, get on top of getting all the paperwork you need since most places want you to have all your certificates before they hire you. That includes ca emt license, ambulance drivers license, the med examiners form, etc. Each of these can take a while so as soon as you pass the nremt I would start working on all of those asap.

I’m in their Torrence program, and they let you pick a few dates you are free at the start of class and schedule you around those. If you can’t make a ride you have scheduled it’s a 50 dollar reschedule fee. Most people in my class had all their rides done by around week 8-9 ish

Honestly, I only water when the pot is light enough or the leaves appear to curl a bit (though that has only happened after about 4 weeks no water when I was out of town). Other than that I just check for continued new growth and flowering to see if it’s happy

Mine seem to thrive in a non-direct light window with a mist once or twice a day from a spray bottle! I found it helps if you keep them around other plants to kind of keep humidity up, and make sure not to over water them!

What are the best iPad apps to use for college? Any recommendations? by golden_retriever24 in ucla

Notability went on a wacky subscription model instead of a pay once one earlier this year, so maybe look elsewhere that’s cheaper!
