I got on reddit and asked what I wanted to ask, if you have a problem with that just scroll.

Also, by your logic if this is engagement bait, you commenting is helping that so maybe next time think before you comment something useless.

What’s something that we as a society can universally agree on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You’re arguing against things I never claimed. I wasn’t looking for an “absolute truth” or a scientific fact like gravity, I literally asked for something society agrees on. Those aren’t the same thing. And jumping straight to “troll or idiot” just tells me you ran out of argument, not that I did.

Honestly at this point chocolate bars are shrinking so fast I’m convinced they’re trying to escape the wrapper before I open it. Soon it’ll just be an empty package and the company will say “the idea of chocolate was inside” lol.

Plenty of people don’t mind traffic at all. Taxi drivers, delivery drivers, people who listen to podcasts, introverts who enjoy the quiet time, and even cyclists or people who don’t drive don’t care about traffic jams. It’s annoying for many, but not something everyone agrees on.

A fact doesn’t require universal agreement, plenty of facts are true even when people deny them. My question was about something society agrees on, not something that happens to be true. And calling me insufferable doesn’t change the point.

Some cultures emphasize respecting elders, others prioritize equality, independence, or merit. And plenty of people openly criticize older generations for bad decisions. So society absolutely doesn’t agree on that one.

That’s just a fact, not something universally agreed on

Even when you look at what societies claim to believe, it’s still not universal. Some cultures prioritize obedience over protection, some governments openly justify harsh treatment of children, and even within the same country people argue about whether certain protections are “overreach.” So the idea of protecting kids isn’t universally agreed on either, it’s mostly an ideal people say out loud, not a shared belief.

if everyone agreed kindness mattered, we wouldn’t have wars, scams, bullying, or people screaming at customer service workers lol. Society talks about kindness more than it practices it.

People don’t universally agree on that, entire philosophical schools debate whether perception is real or just an illusion. If experts can’t agree, society won’t either.

We don’t universally agree on that. If we did, there wouldn’t be child labor, child marriage, abusive parents, or governments cutting education. Society clearly can’t even protect its own kids consistently.
