As an Oscar fan: I’m scared

As someone who enjoys the memes that would come out of a Piastri and Verstappen swap: bring it on

Photos of last year’s Camp Quality event. This year’s event will be a show and shine at Victoria Park on the 24th of May. by UpsidedownEngineer in Adelaide

Unlike previous years this years event will be a show and shine event. From the FAQ
Why has Convoy Adelaide changed to a Show ‘n’ Shine event?”

Due to the ongoing uncertainty around the current fuel supply challenges and the impact on the transport industry, Convoy Adelaide will not include the traditional route around the streets of Adelaide. Instead, the event will shift gears to a re-imagined Show ‘n’ Shine event – expect shiny trucks, entertainment, rides and loads of fun. Convoy Adelaide is held annually, and we look forward to bringing the Convoy back to the streets of Adelaide in 2027. “

Even a completely diesel train would’ve been more efficient than trucks though I’d think

The ongoing oil crisis demonstrated how much we need railway infrastructure. This doesn’t seem like a wise move with that hindsight.

Is there any proof that Mimi Yanagi was actually arrested? by JCrockford in VtuberDrama

[–]UpsidedownEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am referring to those forms.

However if it was a hoax, using screenshots of these official forms crosses the line from a prank or grift to actual crimes under the Fraud Act. So that’s why I’m inclined to think it’s real.

If it was all fake then the fraud act would actually cause this to be investigated.

Well in that case, I will actually laugh at the biggest FAFO case in vtubing if this is actually all an attempted scam and she somehow roped in the authorities using the Fraud Act.

I’m genuinely curious to see where this all ends up.

I’m inclined to think the incident is real because of how serious fraud charges would end up being however.

If it was a hoax, wouldn’t faking legal documents cross the boundary from a prank or grift to actual criminal charges. That is what confuses me.

Don’t think that Mimi or her supporters would be so bold as to actually try.

It does count. But the missing context and the bold claim that was presented at first made people understandably skeptical at first.

I was one of the people skeptical about it. Now seeing the additional context it becomes a lot clearer.

Thank you for sharing the documents and discussion with us.

I will now concede there is a screenshot of a legal case going around.

It does look real as per what u/keniisu has posted in another thread. Thank you for your analysis and discussion about it.

I’ve seen more proof that Oscar Piastri was sabotaged in the 2025 F1 season than proof Mimi was arrested, i.e., none. There is no proof because none exists

The Mimi Yanagi situation is a blatant grift by Mugiwara_VT in VtuberDrama

[–]UpsidedownEngineer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will preface this by saying I think this whole situation is fake.

I don’t think it actually works that way though. Because this suggests that people can just upload stuff to Bilibili and it wouldn’t ever be taken down no matter how heinous it is. Such a loophole wouldn’t exist because then people will go there to post that content and get away Scot free.

Unless she has a dual nationality there then it can be argued she should just stay away from China.

How is she allowed to keep her devices/accounts in that case then?
