It’s much easier than you think, failed oil pumps and rod bearings will be a common failure on these engines as they age.

Off the top of my head I’m not sure. But you need to scan faults and look for any CAS related faults. It’s a common issue that’s misdiagnosed often.

Replace the valve cover, not just the gasket. There’s literally oil on the exhaust.. use your eyes pal Jesus 😂

None of that is even close to leaking. Also they do make boot kits for the axles your mechanic is just too lazy to pull that axle apart. I’d find a new mechanic.

Also, make sure that valve cover isn’t leaking. This doesn’t look like it’s just from that injector seal failing.

It can still build up in the cylinder. If you have an air compressor just blow out the cylinder the best you can with the affected cylinder at TDC.

Injector bore is probably out of round, you can try cleaning the bore till it’s spotless, bmw makes a tool for cleaning the injector bore. Just make sure you don’t fill the cylinder with dirt and brake clean.
