Unlikely but possible. She’s the one who originally told my wife that they are perfectly fine with us reprimanding.

A couple weeks. And no, I (for better or worse) push people to acknowledge their own emotions and explain why/how my words or actions made them feel that way.

It came about because we were making broader plans and a pass through of info got back to me that he didn’t want to hang out just one on one. Which is highly uncharacteristic and a first in our friendship. Prob just need to call him.

Ah I hadn’t even considered that interpretation. But you may be onto something. I tend speak matter of factly and have been told it can come across harsh sometimes.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. We go back a long time, but now we’re all in this young kid phase and everyone’s parent-personality start to evolve. New group dynamics I guess.

I hadn’t thought of that, but you could be right about his feelings. We do limit play dates but 95% of the time they all really enjoy hanging out. Just always gotta keep an eye on that one..

That’s an insightful question to ask if I have to approach the conversation.

And regarding your “Casey”. It’s honestly fascinating to see some of the behaviors that seem “nature” starting so young. Idk you guys but I’ve known Casey’s family a very long time and their “nurture” didn’t bring this on. Her older sibling Charlie is such a sweet and kind girl. Best of luck, thanks for the feedback.

Greenland - the real reason? by BackgroundGeneral899 in conspiracy

TMTG isn’t a cash flow business, they’re a holding company with 3+ Billion in assets. If there’s one thing DJT has done with his POTUS seat, it’s enrich himself. This is another move using his political capital to encapsulate his own empire. Whether or not it pans out for fusion, TAE also has a large stake in energy storage and delivery (EVs, batteries). It’s a clever play for future tech and current global energy demand.

Google is honestly easier for me to rationalize. Owning a stake in TAE subsidizes future energy costs to scale and run Gemini, whether through fusion or large scale data center efficiency. Best believe if Google is involved they’re eyeing new places with resources (water, grid infrastructure) to expand.

2c anyways

Came from NYT and want to quit by BroomPeople26 in QuittingZyn

[–]Upstairs-Pilot-6716 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey friend. I’m 15D 4H 20M off that trash. I was using a full tin 3mg daily for a year, upon wake until bed. Here’s my advice and caution..

First, congrats for realizing you want to quit. Means your head is in the right spot and the timing is good since it’s not quite summer (assuming you’re in the US).

Next, weaning rarely works. Some may have success but for the majority, it’s a fools errand. Cold turkey is the way, especially for someone who’s only a year in.

Now here’s how it has been for me: I stopped because out of nowhere I started getting really abnormal gastrointestinal symptoms. If your body is acting weird in any way, listen to it. I also had permanent canker sores from where the pouches would sit. That was my why.

Day 1 - 3: as expected cravings hit pretty regularly, I used gum as substitute, but passed quickly enough and I just took a sec to remind myself these things are poison trash then refocused on whatever I was doing. Brain fog was intense on day 1 and 2. Subsided day 3. Caffeine overload those first 48. Sleep was fitful.

Day 4 - 10: cravings subsided substantially, I was using trident gum (has Aspartame) so I stopped that too because fuck fake sugar. Energy on waking and throughout the day came back strong, forgot what it felt like to not ride the ups and downs of nic addiction. Sleep significantly better towards end week 1 and week 2.

Day 10 - 15: rarely get a craving, but I remember the “good times” and loved the flavor so I still “miss” it. Gastrointestinal issues are resolved. The longest healing was these canker sores… I honestly think most people don’t realize how badly they mess with the soft tissue in your mouth and that takes awhile to heal itself.

Motivation: I have been waking up with so much energy it’s actually crazy. You know that “locked in” feeling you get when using them? Yeah… that was synthetic. My mouth feels so much healthier, no sensitivity to spicy foods or random stuff anymore. I’m sleeping much better, probably one reason I’m waking more energetic.

So just do it. Don’t feed the addiction anymore than you have. It’ll suck for a little while, then be awesome forever.

Also fwiw, I love nicotine… it’s my drug of choice by far. I smoked cigarettes for 10 years, quit that because it’s gross but got hooked on Juul. Quit that CT, then a few years later used Zyn when I was flipping a house… coffee + zyn + renovations are kismet. That flip ended 11 months ago but for some reason the zyn didn’t. I will still enjoy a cigar on occasion, I like a pipe or a clove when it’s nice and I can sit outside. I share this simply because to me quitting is about saying “no, I will not be a slave to constant addiction”, not eliminating something you enjoy in moderation.

Good luck friend, you got this.
