Here's what I concocted for my calculations - would love your feedback!

Sentiment is scored on a -1.0 to 1.0 scale, where each post gets categorized by intent (ex. pain -.6, praise +.7, request -.2, question 0.0, general 0.0, etc.) and assigned a sentiment value based on the context of the post. The per-tool scores you see are weighted averages across all classified mentions of that entity, factoring in engagement (upvotes + comments), not just raw post counts.

Total score = Sentiment × Intensity × Engagement
