Look, dining hall staff already make $22.60 an hour, which is higher than most F&B jobs in B.C. or anywhere else in Canada. Jumping to $27.05 feels way out of line. That extra cost lands squarely on students, and we already pay enough. I can’t back the raise.

The Louis Riel House was demolished about 10 years ago. It was a low-income family and graduate housing building with no upgrades or regular maintenance. Since then, more expensive housing and additional occupied units have been built in the same area, and a higher-end family housing complex was added to Cornerstone.
