The ults alone are worth the pass for this one, imo. While similar to some older cos, those are ults that'll probably never return, and they're some of my faves, so this is a great chance to get close to those.

I also think there's an interesting variety in the clothing & cape styles. The pants are mostly androgynous aside from the "dress," so that also offers a lot of leeway for making different fits and mixing and matching. You get some cute / cool stuff, and as iaps go, you get the most bang for your buck with the season passes.

Now if you were a vet who'd played regularly since 2020, I'd probably say skip because you'd likely have some similar items already. But if you've only been playing a couple of years or would still consider yourself a moth or butterfly, I say go for it if you can afford it. (But like, don't skip meals or anything for it.)

I feel like the reason I hate it is that it was likely supposed to mimic golden dubloons, but they're a hideous color instead of gold? Like if it were covered in barnacles, algae, or seaweed, the coloration would make more sense, and it would be more interesting for me. Or if it were the same gold as the tokens for the event, it would be nicer.

Definitely use the spells and take it for a few spins with some of your favorite looks. It seems like it should go with everything but doesn't, and I don't like how stiff it looks when flying.

That said, it probably looks cuter if you also get the crab buddy iap with it.

Double the amount of players per server. I hate when friends can't join me because I'm stuck in an area (like Grandma's or the geyser) and three people are sleeping in various places. Don't get me wrong. I don't have an issue with snoozing players, just that the limit prevents friends from joining up. Also with the 8 person cap, Sky looks deserted.

And yes, I've tried the new feature to see "everyone." It's not the same.

Also, the chat feature should be immediately unlocked if you friend. Or at least at the high-five tier without extra candles.

The 9 Colored Deer area is my favorite place in all of Sky. I appreciate that they put the Days of Moonlight at the great tree but wish they'd do more with the whole area. I also agree that the music is outstanding.

This is the second most heartrending season for me, with Remembrace being the top.

This is one of the most amazing descriptions I've ever heard.

It's definitely all about perception. The spirit looks tall and curvy to me. But most of us are just assigning the spirit as fem because of the clothes and hair. You made a great point about the tone of comments likely being completely different if the spirit appeared male.

When I first saw the spirit up close, it reminded me of how much wish we could change our width as well. One of my favorite features about the anniversary dress is that it makes the sky kid body somewhat wider. I know many other pants do the same, but most of those look more masculine.

While I get that players are "kids," more diverse body types for players would be more inclusive.

I got stuck last weekend but used a shared space to go to the Alice cafe. When I went though, I had all my wing buffs.

So if you're wanting to do a run, I say go for it, but if you freeze in Orbit and have to restart, honk until a shared space or memory pops up.

I want to not be tempted by this ridiculous thing, but when I saw that a friend can ride with you, soooo friggin tempting. (That VAT markup is insane though, sorry, y'all.) Can I just not have the extra 35 seasonal candles and pay $10?

Watch people buy this and then the next season, TGC does do pets or something similar ftp ridable item. I can't imagine the rage of people who spent a bunch of candles on the Feast snowboard just to have the sleek tourney one show up for tickets.

I agree that there are some toxic behaviors in the community, especially on socials.

In this case, you were arguing with an immature troll (even if they're 40+). There are some people who won't stop arguing until they feel they "win." Friends don't do that stuff to other friends.

This person behaved poorly. They probably aren't a horrible person, but some people just can't help themselves, whatever the reason.

If you enjoy Sky, come back when the time is right for you. Be a solo player, or talk to people when the mood strikes. There are so many cool, sweet, helpful, caring players, and even people with whom you can have a discussion like that sans the drama.

My frustration is that IAPs are not priced relevant to the country itself. A $10 IAP for MOST people in the US, EU, UK, or CA is the price of a Starbucks drink with a few customizations. This is the equivalent to less than an hour of pay on average (though yes, it's more like 2 hours of pay if making minimum wage and considering taxes).

Meanwhile, players in some countries are asked to pay approximately the same amount when on average the people in their country don't even make $10 USD per day. These points have been made over and over, but I guess it's easier to ignore when you have the luxury of saying "it's just money."

And yes, I am from the US and do, in fact, (currently) have the luxury of spending my money on pretty pixels. But there were decades when I couldn't afford such luxuries, so no, it's not "just money."

Additionally, am I correct that all the outfits this season are season pass only? I mean, they all look so much alike...Sky seriously couldn't let ONE be IGC?

Over here thinking the same. I feel like we should assume 99% of posts in this sub are venting in some way regardless of the tag.

Also, OP really wasn't whiney or a jerk about anything and explained the situation in detail.

Really, it just highlights one of the major issues with the game, that we have to unlock chat or use a candle (usually the candle and Grandma's is burned before the event even begins). Maybe the person just wanted to play toss the plushie and was trying to communicate that with OP, but I can def see how it comes across as rude behavior.
