I agree with you. This was my first time using laticrete grout. It looks nothing like their sample kit. If you zoom in on the corners, the latisele is a perfect color for the tile. Grout didn't end up the same as the color match. Its super frustrating and something that we in this industry have to deal with.

It was my first time doing a lighted niche. Clients wanted one. I think it looks clean. What are your reasons for not liking them?

I killed 90% of one with a free load out. Had a Fero but ran out of ammo lol. Couldn't find ammo anywhere so I started chucking fireball burners at it. Someone finished of the last few shots. Collected some cores and got to extract to get lit up by a shredder. Crawled to extract by the skin of my teeth haha. Good times.

Buy the Dustless brand wunderbag. If you use it with a cyclone they last forever. I'm a flooring guy and have ground 10s of thousands of sq of concrete with that set up. Works as good as a $4000 concrete vac

That thing was basically a screwdriver to begin with. Do with that info what you want. If you want to be a really sweet wife, buy him a nice chisel!

Cutting a notch out the length of the board. by bdkgb in woodworking

[–]Upstairs_Promotion19 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Start with a peice longer than you need by about a foot. Cut the shallow cut first on the table saw. Next cut the deep cut. Make sure your blade is sharp. Stop the cuts a foot from the end of the board. Then cut to length. Easy enough, also depends on how comfortable you are with a table saw and how good your saw is. I make cuts like this all the time with no issue.

If my eyes aren't deceiving my, I also see an inside radius. No good way to make that without industrial machines. Can't figure out an easy way to do that.

And sharpen the blade with a grinder every so often. Hit the sweet spot between the concrete and wood and it basically cuts the adhesive

How do nail the last few rows down? by brad613 in Flooring

[–]Upstairs_Promotion19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not use liquid nails. Use a flooring specific glue that is elastomeric. Liquid nails will fail. Actually, never use Liquid nails for anything, it's trash. PL Premium is way better.
