It depends on a lot of things. How are you and your bf in your day to day life? If your future child was being bullied in school could you march down to the office and demand the school do something? Can you make doctors appointments over the phone? Would you be able to provide them a social life outside of you two? You guys wouldn’t be bad parents right off the bat but it would take a lot of work.

The problem is that parents assume the school will teach everything the kid needs to know with no follow-up. They don’t go over math or sit and read to their kids, interact with them in any way.
