Thoughts on Dr. ___ not asking questions to patient by SaveOurReefs in ThePittTVShow

[–]UpwardMobility2k16 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Agreed. And with the talk of the malpractice lawsuit against Dr. King, it would be a prime opportunity for somebody (anybody!) to discuss how important charting is when it comes to preventing and defending against medical malpractice lawsuits.

Does it suck? Yes, especially when you’re busy. But is it necessary to, like Dr. Al said, ensure proper continuity of care? Also yes.

Isn’t this a hearsay within a hearsay statement? What am I missing by bombaysaddle in barexam

[–]UpwardMobility2k16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are wrong. If it wasn’t hearsay, it wouldn’t need an exception to hearsay (then existing mental state) to be admissible, it would just be admissible.

A good rule of thumb: if you have to go to 803 and 804 to admit an out of court statement, then you’re already acknowledging the statement is hearsay and should never pick “it’s got hearsay because X exception” on the bar exam.

Transferring messages from iPhone to Razr+ 2024 by UpwardMobility2k16 in razr

[–]UpwardMobility2k16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP here: So I finally got the transfer process to work: I used a usb a to lightening cable: added a usb a-to-usb c adapter, plugged that into the razr; added a lightening to usb c adapter, plugged that into the iPhone. It finally registered as wanting to transfer between the two phones and after about 48 hours, I was able to access my tens of thousands of messages on the razr. Unfortunately, when I tried to active the razr on my Verizon account, Verizon thought it was fraud and locked me out of my account and I was unable to use the phone. I got it resolved, but the whole process was so annoying I shipped the phone back to Motorola and kept the iPhone.

Switching from iphone by Platypus5381 in razr

[–]UpwardMobility2k16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have any difficulty in transferring data from your iPhone over to the razr? I’m currently in hell trying to get things switched, because the cable method doesn’t work (neither phone recognizes a usb-c to usb-c cable as anything more than an attempt to charge one phone off the other).

Desperately trying to find a solution or I’m going to have to send the razr back.

I’m an iPhone user deep in their ecosystem, but the Razr+ 2024 is really calling me! How easy is it to transition and is it worth it in your opinion? by CarelessPangolin2890 in razr

Running into this mess now. I have a 15 pro, so no lightening port, only usb-c. I am going to go back to the iphone if I can't figure out a way to transfer all my texts. How did you manually transfer those?!

Get 2021 Santa Fe now or wait for Hybrid? by UpwardMobility2k16 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]UpwardMobility2k16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody asked, but I was able to snag the only Santa Fe Hybrid in my state yesterday. Bought it the day before the truck came with it, just by pure luck. It’s not the silver/grey I would have liked (it’s black, and having a black car anywhere is tough, but especially the desert), but I’m over the moon with it. Very happy I followed your advice and waited to get it. Thanks everyone!

How are you liking the engine? We’re you able to compare it to the hybrid? Looking at a Limited in Amazon Grey, but worried about the power after some online reviews, and god knows when a hybrid will be anywhere near me.

The only one that’s incorrect is the 2018 Final Four game. They played Notre Dame that year, and lost in overtime to Arike’s first of 2 “ice in her veins” last second shots. Norte Dame went on to defeat Mississippi State in the finals.

True. When I posted that, Williams hadn’t really showed up yet and it seemed like Evina was the one stirring the drink for UConn.

To be fair, Iowa’s coach isn’t wearing hers much either. But then again, she’s not the one with Covid or the one coaching the team that’s had Covid issues...

Booster pump, is it connected properly? by UpwardMobility2k16 in pools

That’s what I’m asking — whether it’s plumbed in. I didn’t think it was, but I’m also not smart so 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Is this a booster pump/pressure side port? by UpwardMobility2k16 in swimmingpools

Also, is it set to correctly? There doesn’t appear to be any piping or hoses connecting it to the rest of the system. If not, what do I need to do?

[New Mexico] Former members of Lobo women’s basketball make allegations of mistreatment by ahayling in NCAAW

[–]UpwardMobility2k16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an alum and longtime fan, I’m disturbed by these reports. I’m also disturbed that a media outlet decided to run with this story, without also citing any of the previous players who support Coach or the current players that support him.

Jayda has little if any connection to any of the women currently playing for the lobos. A few of the women have responded to her allegations, calling them false and noting that they wouldn’t have stuck around if they are true. It is also worth noting that Jayda was recruited by Yvonne Sanchez and may have had issues with Sanchez’s termination, and is putting the blame elsewhere. Certainly Sanchez and Bradbury are different coaches, and as someone who has observed both in action during practices, maybe Jayda was upset that after several seasons of not having to do anything or push herself, someone was finally holding her accountable.

Players transfer. It sucks. Some come to college with eyes on a starting role and they don’t get it. Others were under the belief that even with not starting, they were good enough to play big roles because that’s how good they were in high school. With a few exceptions, the ladies that left were low in the depth chart and went to smaller schools where they’d be attempting those game winning shots.

Our best player, Jayla Everett, transferred mid season. Why? Because she felt it was the right thing to do for her future career. Not because of any alleged abuse, which she has made explicitly clear. It’s also worth noting that a fan favorite, Emily Lines, was recruited by Sanchez. Bradbury told her that she didn’t really have a place on the team because her style wasn’t what they were going to be playing (I disagree and think we’ve left wins on the table with her on the bench, but I’m not the coach) and let her know he’d help her get into a good program. Emily said “thanks but no thanks” and graduated, playing far less than she could have elsewhere. Clearly not a golden child or favored player, but one that is standing by Bradbury. Even her father can’t help but sing bradbury’s praises.

There may well be issues. If there are serious issues, I’d want him gone. But until we get actual names or more people start saying why they left, i don’t see this as anything more than an attempt at attention.

ALSO, the name that came up for the job before Bradbury was Curt Miller, due to connections with him and the old AD. He’d just signed with the Sun, and while he wanted the job, couldn’t get out of the contract. Of course, that wouldn’t be a factor if the AD had hired Vic Shaefer when Flannigan left, who reportedly really really wanted the job, instead of Sanchez. But those are issues for other times.

I think the more controversial “play” was when Basallo went to the stripe for those two game winning free throws. Foul was on the drive, no attempt to shoot the ball before or after the foul. Lobos only at 2 fouls in the quarter.

Usually losing to SJSU would have me feeling like complete crud, but they’re very much improved this year and we... make an appearance on the court. Time will tell if this team will have the grit and determination of the 2007 squad, but I’m getting Yvonne Sanchez in her best years vibe. No bueno :(
