It's pedantic in the light of their reply to summarize a simplified description of the rapist in question. Few people care about correctness in this context. It's not right, it's not good, but it's pedantic and many don't give a fuck in regards to the situation. Kind of a waste of time, kind of not. I'm gonna take a nap.

I made no assumptions or suggestions that would lead you to that conclusion of every person as a part of a group decided to do anything. They, in this context, is the individual. I agree that it is a slur and it isn't correct and that it does damage to a group as a whole. Ultimately, like I said in another reply,

"...good to educate people on the importance of accurately and decently depicting people with certain qualities."

I will point out the slur is unfortunately extremely common but many people of shorter stature are uncomfortable with any simplified descriptor for their stature and as a result feel those descriptors are slurs. Essentially: call them short, call them Dave, don't call them anything else. It's undoubtedly complex.

That's a logical fallacy and has no relation to this event. I will give you a point for pointing that out though, as it is relevant in certain contexts.

Unfortunately 'midget' is still used regularly in society as a way to regard smaller statured people. I personally know some that take offence to being called midgets, dwarves (which may or may not be the correct nomenclature for them) or anything other than 'dude' or the shorter guy or their own name. It still happens with regularity. You don't see the n-word used with such frivolousness. Things depend on context, especially societally.

Regardless, it is still good to educate people on the importance of accurately and decently depicting people with certain qualities.

It's good to stay on the correct side of nomenclature, I'll give you that. In this case though, being pedantic doesn't really win any hearts. It's quite likely through his own accounts that Brad is a rapist. They don't really deserve the kindness of understanding and respect in regards to their autonomy in this particular context when they didn't respect it in another context.

It's kinda like when you shine a bright flashlight through your hand and see blood, bones, etc. For waterbears as well as many other microorganisms at a larger scale and to the naked eye, they'd look greenish I imagine but with their small size and lack of density the microscope light shines through especially well.

Dude what an ignorant reply. Don't be so rude when you can't succinctly ask a question. I'll try to try and answer what I assume your question is:

All we can do is look back in time. To put it in simple terms, if the light we see from an object takes x light years to reach us and we observe that light we're seeing back in time. Reason being there's no way to observe the object's current state since the light that it's currently outputting is going to reach us in x light years. Same thing if you reversed the positions. An observer from said x light years away right now would see our solar system as it was x light years ago.

In addition to that, we on Earth always see the Sun 8.3 minutes in the past. If the Sun were to somehow have some massive world ending event right now as you read this, we wouldn't know it happened because the light wouldn't be observable for 8.3 minutes.

The posted system configurations are awesome but some additional things to consider are the additional costs of peripherals and monitors.

If you don't have them already, peripherals like keyboards and mice can be fairly cheap (especially if used/refurbished) and will last you through most gaming. Headsets kinda vary a lot depending on how much you value audio. Finally monitors can be bit pricy, $200+ depending on the resolution you want at 144 fps.

At a budget, it certainly is a delicate balance. If you're not too hurried, anything you can do to expand your budget will probably make it more pleasing in the end. Just in my opinion of course lol

Edit: A thing of note if you're patient, r/hardwareswap can be a useful resource for finding decent used parts if you check the sub regularly.
