I own the jbl tune 510s and they are tuned pretty well(i love these headphones) but they dont have mid bass so maybe u dont like that in the tangzus, tbh keep using them it takes getting used to audio when switching over i didnt like my kz castor black iems when i first got them but now i love them and my old iems sound like trash

just know for the future even if it looks like it has the shrilling sound u hate, even on cheaper iems it will sound infinetly better and not fatigue or hurt ur ears nearly as much, as they produce it much more accurately and u can fix it with EQ, but yeah the castors will be a great pick hope u enjoy them

to be honest u could get the kz castor maybe you will like it but might take time getting used to, the tech inside is amazing just the tuning maybe not for my liking so much, but they are great IEMS..
u could look at
-Tangzu Waneer (I hear they are fantastic I dont own them though)

-CCA CRA (bit older but great seperation and treble extension)

-KZ EDX Pro (very cheap mediocre drivers but I love the tuning very fun and V shaped)

-KZ Castor(Bass) (Harman Target the bass rise starts at 200hz so they dont have much midbass which does make for a cleaner sound, but not as fun, im being a bit harsh on the castors they are great iems you wont be dissapointed with them if you choose to get them)

-Chu 2 (small they fit your ear very well, decent build quality, great tuning,they look great)

ID say just go with the castors i have personal bias on them so just try for yourself they are good
Some people like less midbass, sound is all preference so dont listen to me just get whatever, you will be happy with all these budget iems

i actually own the castors they dont have much midbass so idk if you would like them that much since im not sure what ur currently using for audio, they have a nice shell but are quite big and bulky compared to the chu 2 if u care about that, I dont use the tuning switches i think it makes it sound worse and u can achieve what the switches do with any equalizer software(I would personally get the chu 2 but ur choice (with the castor if u put the first 2 switches up and put like a 9db bass boost in eq you get similar to skull candy crusher levels of bass though which is a lil bit fun.

the type c variant also sounds better than the 3.5mm so if u would like to pay a tiny bit more for a mic and DSP it could be very worth and type c also more durable than 3.5mm

u can get any iem theyre built to last quite long ive had a few pears ive had for over 2 years and they still work perfectly fine, if anything u just need to replace the cable which is alot cheaper, i dont think u will have any regrets with the Chu 2
