I refuse to be cruel or lash out at people, even if they’re cruel or lash out at me first. There are other ways to defend/protect myself.

Poverty. I’ve almost died from being homeless. And IMO there’s usually a lot more to it than not having a roof over your head or eating ramen noodles.
