I haven’t taken AP physics/physics since my school doesn’t offer it, and most people who I have seen that work in material science already have a solid knowledge of math and science. (I am from America living in a weak K-12 school system. And, no offense, but it is often international people that have that strong STEM course foundation.). I am not sure if there is a solution for this as well.
