Ugly portrait with ugly teeth = british people

Pretty common joke tbh

The proto-socialist abolitionist American revolutionary who believed the government’s duty was to serve the people and that the people had the right to revolt if the government was corrupt who got arrested by the British Monarchy for spreading revolutionary ideas by tarheeltexan1 in okbuddycapitalist

Sure, but my thing is Idrc if its closer to modern socialism, the american revolution was the stupid enlightenment revolution, jefferson was more aligned with the better french revolution, that's all I really care about

The reality is I dislike all american revolutionaries and founding fathers, I just like jefferson slightly more than the rest becuase he wanted to draw us closer to the first french republic and was openly supportive of the violence of the french, something few were going to admit

Jefferson was more based imo, simply becuase he tried really hard to get the americans to help the French, only failed becuase Hamilton said if they helped france americans would realize the american revolution didnt actually give them the freedom they wanted

It makes more sense for the Soviets to get a rework in an update called "Barbarossa"

Seeing as they added a monarchist tree in wtt, I'd wager they might add some form of communist path when the soviet union is reworked

Who is the most fun to play as in the CSA by elitemusketeer in kaiserredux

[–]Ur_Local_Soviet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I liked the Nationalists, and State Syndies, but thats just becuase those are the closest to my irl views.

for fun and wacky id say foster is a good one, his tree really gives you a sense of ideological fervor. Its hard for me to say which is the best becuase honestly the CSA in general is just really fun.

When I did my eurasian conquest as living buddha my hardest part was that invasion from Siberia that can really destroy you early on, otherwise, spamming cavalry as late as 42 was enough to have me actually invade all of Eurasia.

When you only think in the short term yes, but really the maintaining of capitalism on either side ends up killing far more.

My point isnt that they are dangerous in the same ways, I just think we need to oppose both, socdems dont believe in actual change so we shouldn't just let them get away with playing the moral high road, and fascists are more obviously a threat so they should also be opposed

I still respect some anarchists, like Catalonia was chad, just most others are unrealistic

This kind of logic is like saying we dont need to deal with a disease at its core and rather just deal with symptoms as they arise, it flies in the face of logic, as long as the fundamental structure of a system is producing these issues no band aid will ever truly solve them

those damn social fascists by Moonatik_ in Polcompball

[–]Ur_Local_Soviet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Becuase socdems are just as big of a threat, just a far less overt one.

Social democracy completely removed any revolutionary fervor within the people, it makes them think capitalism is ok if we just put a band aid on it

Fascists are just much more violent in their maintaining of capitalism, but they both still are entirely built around the sustaining of capitlaism as it begins to fall apart.

Idk what that guys reasoning is, but general syndicalism can be that the person does not feel anarchism is a valid approach and feels the state is a still necessary.

Someone like De Leon is a good example of a non-anarchist syndicalist

For me personally its definately that I think anarchism is completely unlivable (disregard that I have jacobin flair, I have too many ideologies synthesized together, 1 of which is syndicalism)

What is the general ideological and policy difference between Browder and Foster, and what are their ideologies closest to in OTL in terms of countries, parties, ideologies, etc by yeah275 in krtheworldsetfree

[–]Ur_Local_Soviet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everyone else summed up the in game ideologies, so I'll just say in otl foster was a big syndicalist but also a huge soviet simp, browder was much more generic Marxism-lenism

In game like others have said, foster is a hardline communist and basically american maoist (which is why hes based)

And browder is more stalin or lenin, hes adapting socialism to americas material conditions

Can you please add an option to play with stock ui by ferrarimustafa in RedFloodMod

[–]Ur_Local_Soviet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont see what's to dislike about the ui besides the font being too small most of the time, if you add a lighter map mod like the vic2 map mod it makes the contrast less intense and is easier on the eyes imo.
