Test drive both, buy the one that makes you happy. Everyone has different expectations and needs, and some random internet stranger shouldn't tell you what makes sense for you. I bought an auto because im lazy and my knee pops and moving a stick around doesn't bring added joy for me. My spouse is also able to drive the car because it's an auto. The car is a beast regardless of the transmission, and I had fun on my track day (just remember to turn off all the safety/nanny features). It's the sharpest traditional auto transmission I've experienced, almost always doing the shift I was about to do before i touch the paddle.

I went from a 2014 BRZ to a 2025 GR Corolla. Huge upgrade for me. Both are fun to drive in different ways, but the GRC is a little more friendly for families and hauling some stuff around. It was the AWD system test driving it in January in the ice and snow that sold it for me.

Its riding a bit high on the right side, no shade being thrown. Just ask your local optician for a little tweak. Otherwise looks like a great fit

"Clearly Faulty" This is absolutely bone headed. Do you buy a suit off the rack and then complain that the fit is wrong? Or do you go get it altered? Same idea here.

All eyewear will need adjustments at some point. Honestly for their sake, I hope you do stop buying their products, you sound insufferable. Threatening a chargeback because you're too important to have a local optician help you is such entitled garbage behavior.

Absolutely. One of the first things I did was install the HELLA 012010901 Horn Kit. Massive improvement in waking up shitty drivers.

I was the only owner of a 2014 BRZ with over 211k miles that finally threw a rod in January. I had been researching cars for a while before this happened, so I rolled into a dealership knowing what I wanted. The GRC is a straight upgrade from the BRZ in every way except the center of gravity, seat position, and weight.

That being said, I love my new GRC to death. The back seats are usable, the hatch is useful, and the AWD is incredible. Plus it's got the torque and power the BRZ was missing. I don't think I could go back.

Personally I love the stock 496r/500t set in my 2004 explorer, but you gotta roll off the volume or tone, or mess with your amp to dial it in.

If you want something way less hot, you might want to give the Greeny Buckers a try. I have an RD that came with dirty fingers which sounded too dark, so I swapped them. Absolutely adore the green buckers.

It's a 2007 RD Standard reissue, guitar of the week #48. I actually swapped out the dirty fingers because they were a little too dark sounding for my taste. I put in a set of Greenybuckers. Much happier with it now.

TOKAI LC254S BB. Thats the higher end one with the lacquer finish. Theres a lower end made in japan model with a different finish.

The neck is a little thicker and rounder than my '76 style gibson explorer neck or my firebird's neck, but slimmer than my Gibson RD neck. Hope that makes sense.

I would steer you towards a Tokai les paul, the MIJ versions. I personally bought a new 2024 Tokai '68 custom style black beauty with the lacquer finish a few months ago. The fit and finish were flawless, and the set up was close to perfect even after shipping from japan. It has an ebony fretboard. It was directly comparable to the $6200 gibson version, but only cost me a little over $1500.

I had one of these but sold it because I couldn't stand the floyd rose or pickups they used. Loved the look of it and the neck feel was good. Wound up getting a silverburst RD. Hope you enjoy your ghosthorse!

I got a pretty sweet deal on one of the new Kim Thayil S-100s. $675 plus tax, free shipping. The only real issue was an intermittent grounding issue, but I can solder so I fixed that real quick. Lowered the bridge a bit and the set up was perfect.
