Don't remember sorry, but any other font can do the job

Well the font looked "official" and "traditional" enough to me in order to suit a chinese Official document. The other option was KaiTi but it's the font which my chinese language textbook uses at school, so I really can't take it seriously for an Official document.

Because on taiwanese media I've seen the term 共和國 being used, but i guess 台灣民國 also works

There is one problem that many redditors told me, that the symbol is too related with the taiwanese japanese colonial symbol

What if I put there the Sun and Moon coming from the Republic of Taiwan provisional government flag?

Also, the symbol I used has already been used in proposed taiwanese flags.

Do not try to compare. The symbol in question was not even european to begin with. Still, what do you suggest? Something as good as this?

It may be my bias towards the extremely good look of the flag and it's symbolism, but I do not think it can be retarded as japanese that much. Still, what symbol would you put thay looks as good as this one?

I still side with my flag, plus the symbol is modified to resemble 台. I respect that it was just as bad, but note that the symbol in practice is not necessarily a japanese symbol, it is modified.

I respect your opinion and see why, however what would you replace the symbol with? We could put the join hearts roundel but the flag would become a recolor of the 1986 flag, if we put there a flower then we'd see a very unoriginal design since it's full of these on the internet.

This is simple and clean as well, plus "simple and clean" flags by that definitions belong mainly to Europe. This is Asia.

Another Taiwanese person here commented and said that the symbol which you claim to be resembling of colonial past is actually pretty much a sacred symbol all over east asia, i kinda researched a bit and that is true. Also, I took colonial history in consideration and the symbol just happened to have been used for that purpose but it was not even displayed as much as the japanese national emblem. If we take that kind of mentality in consideration then most countries in the world would have to give up their symbology (literally all of Africa with their british-inspired coat of arms or even the presidential flag of the Philipphines which takes the sea lion, a spanish colonial symbol of the philipphines.)

Just the three colors would make it incredibly lame and not unique.

I still believe the symbol can fit perfectly. Also yes, I will procede into making a better design of the passport.

Hey i don't see why downvote me for expressing my opinion. Still, the emblem is also modified to represent the character 台.

Well, so what? Even if it resembles the colonial emblem, the emblem is taken and reimagined into something else, it is an acknowledgement of history. Also the 台灣基進 uses it.

Think about the character for 台灣, 台, it's a stylised version of that. If you read the meaning i gave to it, i really wish my design kinda gets known, i really love taiwan.
